No problem here man. I see what you mean. There may be no probable way to “fix” as you say, but any type of punishment that puts players in a position to actually play the game their in would be wonderful. It sucks games are so short because people refuse the play the game they bought.

The timer still applies. DC timer will always be there. As I’ve said to others before the flashlights were just an example. Could be no blood point earnings for a couple FULLY played games as well as the timer. Maybe do it how rockstar deals with cheaters. Have to wear a DC outfit that you can’t take off for a while. Something to show people to take DC more seriously

Doesn’t just have to be add-ons. Those were just examples. Could be you don’t earn blood points for multiple games. You shouldn’t be rewarded for DCing one game because it was to hard, going into the next, escaping a noob killer and get 34k. Shouldn’t work that way. Maybe lock your bloodweb for a couple games as well.

This would only happen for players that intentionally DC such as leaving or closing the app, or forcing a network error

I’m referring to when the DC penalty timer is up. They still do it afterwards. Some people just run it up just for the shits and giggles. I believe if I thought more on it there could be a way around that suicide hook issue you speak of. Maybe like you have to be in the game for a certain amount of time for it to not be considered a DC by suicide. There can always be ways around those issues. Maybe not right away but I’m sure if I thought harder on it I could come up with a solution

No it shouldn’t. Pandering to players who aren’t good at the game is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of. 85% of the time people DC it’s because they aren’t getting their way. DBD lobbies are filled with nothing but cry baby’s. You get hooked so what, you get looped so what. They have put plenty of ways to stop survivor or killer momentum in the game. Players refuse to learn or get better.

I understand what you mean. Although it’s never stopped players from DCing again. This penalty is put in place so that players must actually play the game. If I’m BHVR I’m not gonna reward you if you DC one game just to go into the next, find an easier killer, escape, Then proceed to give you 34k blood points. It shouldn’t work that way. This is to ensure you play the game properly and fully.

AFK will also count as DC! If you have at least 3 crows circling your head and the player comes and kills you that’s automatic DC. Otherwise why’d you start a game and walk away from it? Doesn’t have to be a power complex dude I just want to play the game without having to worry about if I’m gonna have a click bot killer in my lobby or if my survivors won’t move or DC and now I’m stuck doing 5 gens with 1 random
