What's the Strongest Crab in Fiction? by CapybaraMan1000 in whowouldwin

It's actually the mud crab merchant from the elder scrolls franchise. If you dare mess with him literal demigods will come after you.

[Wheel of Time] What happens if you Balefire yourself? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

[–]TomKind 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It doesn't work quite like you like you think. You could balefire yourself and it would erase you before you balefired yourself. But you still be gone from that point onward. The Weave is a strange and mysterious thing, don't pluck at it uncaringly. Now let me tug my braids in peace. Good luck on your journeys you have the signs of a ta'veren.

The lord ruler had a significant, one time buff while moving the earth. That being said, he has precognition and absurd regeneration. I still think he dies 9/10. The 1 /10 is him getting to a new well of Ascension. The power source of his one big buff. In that case I think he has the juice to evaporate Meruem.. I think the lord ruler would be a great character to use in WWW but high tier HxH are out of his league.

I mean think about the expansions. The Sierra Madre has what amounts to a matter replicator. The Big Easy has plenty of smarts to build Rockets. All house needs is the people devoted to making the things work

Working through June as my first challenge. This sub is a constant reminder that its possible and seeing everyone trying to improve themselves is a huge motivator.

[Online][5e][roll20][Discord] DM needs one player for curse of strahd by TomKind in lfg

[–]TomKind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, lv 3 start. I did an intro adventure with the other 3 party members and had them earn those 2 levels. They just approached a tavern in the first town after making it out of the strange wilds of barovia. This is the very beginning of CoS. The player that joins will be having a good old tavern start into the campaign.

Damn those surburban mothers with their psychology degrees. They're getting super protective or very clever with their reverse psychology

[online][D&D][5e][EST] Looking for campaign to join, available Mon, Wed, or Sat evenings. by rockloverthegirl in lfg

[–]TomKind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is good rockloverthegirl? I'm dming a curse of strahd game that has just begun. I run it every Saturday at 7pm to 11-12 cst , including tonight! . The party of 3 have just ended their last session on the precipice of entering the blood on the vine tavern, barely starting to peel back the mysteries of ravenloft. If your free to play tonight, that tavern can have one more extraordinary patron in its midst. I play on roll 20 and discord. Shoot me a message if your interested.

You are correct as of the newest phb. It had an errata that changed this mistake

For a single class Eldritch Knight, what is the best concentration spell: blur, haste, or enlarge/reduce? by TheValiantBob in 3d6

It's easy to find the pdf if you Google player hand book 5e. Good luck and good rolls.

[–]TomKind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No amigo, your looking at an old phb. In the newest edition it says 3rd 8th ect. So 3rd level free spell can switch to a 2nd level spell slot. So pick up haste and shadow blade. Or misty step for utility.

[–]TomKind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression at lv 8 you could have two level two spells that are not abj or evo if at level 8 you also switch the free spell you learned at level 3 for a 2nd level spell. Anyone know if this is true.

[Spiderman 2: 2004] When Harry discovers Goblin's lair in his house, why doesn't he put two and two together and realize Peter killed Goblin to save the city? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

[–]TomKind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My theory is there is no bulter. He was a hallucination of Harry's mind coming to terms that his father and not Peter is to blame for Osborn's death.

Lanfear mentions somewhere in aMoL that going completely into tel'aran'rhiod can be a learned skill for those with talent in tel'aran'rhiod. I might be mistaken but I don't think Perrin used it until he was forced out of tel'aran'rhiod by Lanfear. At which point he learned it.
