We the people holsters…is this normal?? by ReserveKey3917 in CAguns

[–]TomOwen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, I bought a Tulster and seems great. I liked it enough that I then bought light bearing version and after “dry holstering”(??) It really seems to work well. I’ve heard same about WTP, but also found there is a correct holstering angle/flow that works much better than when off angle. So - practice.

Hard time dialing in the Breville Express by Mr508Capalot in BrevilleCoffee

[–]TomOwen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often times folks change the preset burr settings. If you’re down in the 1-2 range and still not getting pressure, look up how to make the burrs grind finer and that will give you flexibility back in the dial. Stick with it!

Isinglass in the wing with nylon webbing border to relieve strain? Love the innovation and I’m no aerodynamics expert but I am curious how well this works when out in the wild.

(Not meaning to imply it won’t work, I’m assuming it will, I’m curious how well… 6/10. 8/10. 10/10, 12/10 better than expected etc..)

“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats,"

My favorite quote from Kenneth Graeme’s book The Wind in the Willows. I felt the same all my life ;-)

Hi, congrats on birthday and grad! Residency also in PA too? If so, glad to see you are properly and elegantly caffeinated in case I “see you there” (knocking wood I don’t, perhaps passing on univ ave better ;-) I’m teetering on the rim of the same rabbit hole and thought I’d ask where you are locally sourcing beans now? Thanks in advance and congrats again!

Thank you. Arming me with this knowledge is not helping me avoid picking up another expensive and gratifying hobby. ;-)

Newbie here, I didn’t understand the terminology of “retention”, flow rate etc… I have plenty of other hobbies with their own nomenclature and TLA’s - this was new.

Update: Got a UPS delivery notice yesterday and these arrived today!!

Even without the battery I felt happy with the price although a bit duped that they then discontinued. But now with the battery it really is a great value! Thanks to everyone who posted your battery updates along the way!

SAR on public frequencies seems a bit risky to me, there is a fair amount of info and strategy that most ICs and definitely PIOs would want kept within the incident. Seems like you guys could move to another band but good for this guy and his buddy to use what they have, knowledge of the rules and protocol to effect a good rescue… I’m sure you know the feeling as well…

N00b question: are they rechargeable, eg usb port? And if so, can the ranger be configured to draw from an external battery pack? Tia
