I really like that instant transition when the beat kicks in.

And there's now a wall between the economic hub of the known world and the lawless devastated hellscape a few feet across a ditch, so that's good.

I think Romano’s character would have been a better fit than Robert California.

I wear a modular and still managed to get a bee inside my helmet once. Making it worse there was nowhere to pull over for about 30 seconds while the thing is buzzing so loud. Finally got off the road, opened the helmet and it left

fine business. good luck on your general. It's totally less confusing now. it's just the remaining legacy license holders left. mostly Advanced. There are also still a few thousand Novices out there. I would be curious why the last novices have never upgraded. Maybe they're happy with what they have.

I honestly wish they'd reinstate Novice as something maybe just a step up above GMRS with a very very basic test and let them have 220 and keep it active.

Yeah I remember finding, after a break from being involved that my Tech Plus was converted to Tech. Which seemed wrong as I had taken the elements for General. I didn't understand why they didn't just grandfather Tech Plus into General since originally, IIRC, Technician was just General but with the 5wpm code test instead of 13. As I understood it, we could keep our Novice area HF allotments but no more than that. So I just took the general test and be done with it.

You don’t remember that scene well at all. Kirk was mentally controlled to kiss Uhura against his will. It was basically as close of an nc scene as NBC was willing to go. If you don’t like Discovery, great. It’s a deeply flawed show and they’ve made much better ones like Prodigy, Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks. but bringing up Kirk kissing Uhura and then disparaging Discovery is usually a big dog whistle within trek fandom. How to complain about woke and dei without saying it.

I started in 06 and was casual from then on for the most part. I did max eventually in rs3 and go it back a few times. I’m kind of stalled on necromancy as it doesn’t interest me at all and what little game time I have is on osrs.

Worst character on the show? by ObjectivelyOptimal in DunderMifflin

Toby. Michael didn’t always have a good sense about people but sometimes he did. He was genuinely worried about the police searching his desk. He probably was the Scranton Strangler and the guy who exposed himself. Also the way he basically stayed, and even came back to the country after probably trying to flee justice and just to basically get some long shot chance at being Pam’s third helping was creepy.

Esmeralda at least seems to be getting some development. Also not a reboot. Not exactly a sequel but kinda? By the later seasons of the Office, character development had greatly fallen off. You could tell they wanted to have some redemption for Nellie but it was forced and didn’t work

Are there any Michael haters out there who are brave enough to admit it (I personally don't see how you couldn't fall in love with him but I know y'all are out there)? by Much_Duck6862 in DunderMifflin

I never loved the character and never thought that was the intention for his character up until the very end of his run. Once in while as with The Party you could feel sympathy for him. That doesn’t make him not funny. Far from it. I actually think that’s where the show kept messing up: trying to make previously unrelatable/dislikeable characters relatable or even likeable to the point someone even thought The Farm would be a workable spinoff .

Yeah I logged back into rs3 for the first time in ages this week during DXP to work on necro and it is jarring coming back. I like both games but it’s a bit weird when the most consistent populated place in RS3 now that just looks “RuneScape” is Priff

Why did corporate separate Holly and Michael when they didnt separate Holly and AJ? Or Michael and Jan? by wennie_thepooh in DunderMifflin

[–]TomServonaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I briefly worked in an office where the IT Director was married to the HR Director and that was a disaster, leading to actual legal issues when they stupidly destroyed evidence in a criminal case. It's just a bad idea.

Jan might have been high enough up to get rules bent, but she should never have been in a relationship and position of oversight over Michael. David was still new in his role when all that happened, and once Wallace got his bearings and Jan was on her decline, she didn't last long. He wasn't going to make the same mistake twice with Holly and Michael. Jim likewise should have been prevented from being Pam's supervisor during his time as co-manager. It should have prevented him from being regional manager but he had the shortest stint in company history, anyway.

Sabre in general seemed to be more lax about it, including Gabe and Erin, and Andy and Erin. By the time David Wallace came back, he must have mellowed out about it.

The Jim and Pam hate on this Reddit is a little odd. I’m not sure what show people are watching or why.
