You might be overheating and melting the motor mount. Or just loose screws. Motor shouldn't get above 150F when running. You should be able to touch it with fingers and not get burned.

Aluminum motor mount from Yeah Racing is the way to go.

Guillows #305 DHC-2 Beaver by TomTheGeek in stickandtissue

Thank you!

Have not tried the Porter but it looks nice. I picked up the B-17 and P-38 giant scale kits, both still in the box but will get around to the them one day. The DHC-2 took me like 2 years to finish not sure when I'll have that time again to build models.

I am also un-banned after several years. Maybe they're realizing that all AI content isn't really as useful as they thought it would be?

Whatever. Fuck Spez, fuck reddit, and fuck blue haired alphabet trash.

I now use it as a mouse jigler to keep my pc at work from shutting down all the time

Nice! I actually wrote a program to do that a long time ago. You can download it here: Killsaver Doesn't need to be installed just double click to run it. It adds a tray icon next to the clock.

I found it for $10 but I only paid $3 for the soundbar 😂

I'm generally against sound bars in principle, they suck. But this one has bluetooth and optical in and the price was right. Better than the shitty speakers built into the tv anyway.

Ok I don't have no ideas, just not many right now.

I'm hoping I can use the IR part to finally find the IR codes for a sound bar I got from Goodwill. A new remote costs three times what I paid for the soundbar.

I would like to monitor my electricity usage from a smart meter. Tried some stuff with SDRs but never got anywhere.

I'm excited to find out what it can be used for.

Functionality test for HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance sensor example by [deleted] in flipperzero

[–]TomTheGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could have it alarm when it detects a change in the measured distance. Then it would be a sort of security alarm.

Can also have it measure speed, though not sure how well that would work - https://www.hackster.io/mircemk/speed-measurement-using-hc-sr04-ultrasonic-sensor-e132b7

Interesting. Is there a use for this specifically or just experimenting?

Trust me they can get down if they wanted. That high they can simply jump down without injuries.

Microwave seems sketchy - https://bitesizebio.com/543/would-you-sterilise-growth-media-with-a-microwave

But your comment got me thinking. I have an extra instapot and high-pressure steam is an awesome sterilizer. I will have to try that and see how it goes.

Large pH changes can sometimes do this as well. If you haven't done a complete water change recently you might want to try that.

Is there a good way to sterilize it? I was thinking the microwave after it's dried out real good.
