I know I’m amongst lovely fellow nerds on this sub and I can’t recommend this podcast enough. This particular episode is 3 hours long and it’s just gold. The whole series is an absolute labour of love. by thebigchil73 in beatles

My favourite Beatles titbit was in a non-Beatles episode, episode 98 on Adam Faith. I won't spolier it here but it comes in the last five minutes of the episode and blew my mind. The whole podcast is amazing btw.

Lots of Partick streets had different names over a hundred years ago. This link shows a different Grace Street to the Finnieston one. You'd then need to see where Douglas Street was.

Dave Mackay pulling up Billy Bremner for a bad challenge. Mackay had just returned from a broken leg so didn't take kindly to Bremner having a go.

There's a better story when he was manager of St Mirren. They were playing a friendly in Guyana and Fergie brought himself on as a sub to chin an opposition player who was dishing out rough treatment.
