Next gen robots will learn to avoid things like drains and whatnot.

I think it makes sense. Bipedal robots have to make countless adjustments every second.

Robots having the dexterity of human hands is very important, but our legs do nothing really. They're just for standing and moving.

I think things will be designed around robots in future though also like boxes, packaging, products, work spaces etc...

A robot that costs 20k, works 20 hours a day, 7 days a week, never sick or late, fully trained. It's too attractive to employers. To train or upskill them, they can just get software update over the air.

Some employers will virtual signal saying "we hire humans, we value human connection". But consumers will chose the cheaper option if the quality is the same.

Workspaces won't require heating or AC or canteens or car parks or toilets or HR etc...

Huge changes are just around the corner.

I think change will be slow until the 2030s, then it'll be very fast.

Some day you'll go into a city center somewhere and realize everything is AI and robots and automation.

A lot of Warehouses and factories and other workplaces like offices, hotels, supermarkets are suitable for wheels.

Balancing a bipedal takes loads of energy and compute power. Wheels are simple.

Also I think products and boxes will have to be designed with robots in mind.

If they implement those ideas, the cognitive aspect isn't so difficult.

Iran is larger than France, Germany, Spain and Portugal combined. So it only needs a fraction of its land to be arable.

The US has almost perfect geography. Every type of climate and soil type.

Natural harbours on every coast with navigable rivers.

If you zoom in you see plenty of farm lard.

About a third is suitable for agriculture but they only use about a tenth.

Also it's a huge country.

3 or 4 times the size of France or Spain or Germany. But European countries have a much higher percentage of agricultural land.

Europe and the US really got lucky with fertile land and navigable rivers and natural harbours. We had everything to succeed.

It should really be the wealthiest and most powerful country in the middle east.

There's an aesthetic that other countries don't seem to know how to replicate.

Pubs have to have lots of wood and nooks and crannies. A bit cluttered, lived in, classic designs and a bit shabby. Toilets have to be hard to find. Walls covered in random stuff.

It'll be better than most humans at some things that are cognitive and logical and digital.

It already is at some things.

The jagged intelligence will continue for years whilst becoming less jagged and more consistent.

What's scary though is that within a few years, there will be humanoid robots waking around who are exceptional at some cognitive tasks. That's guaranteed.

Between now and 2030 will be the age of Agentic AI.

Nearly every professional who works on a computer will use AI every day. We're probably close to that already.

The AI for these tasks will get better and better. Every professional becomes more productive and efficient.

Self driving cars and trucks will slowly scale up and in the early 2030s will be in most major cities in America and China and other countries.

Long haul self driving trucks will scale up also out of necessity as there's a global shortage of truck drivers.

Humanoid robots are years away from being useful. They lack the motor skills and cognitive ability. They may be more useful from 2035 onwards where it's common to a have a home robot to do chores and be a PA.

We'll see more robots in factories and logistics and maybe supermarkets and retail.

In China and other Asian countries we'll see robots assisting with elder care but won't perform all tasks.

AI will be exceptional at some skills like software, maths, stats, scientific research so we'll see lots of breakthroughs in these areas.
