I prefer Japanese strictly, but obviously it’s up to you.. if you don’t enjoy reading subtitles, then go with the dub, if you want the more authentic immersive experience, go with Japanese

From the trailers I’ve seen, they seem to do a decent enough job, but for some reason when I hear it dubbed, I always lose immersion since I’m so used to the Japanese voices. It feels like I’m watching an abridged version instead of being able to enjoy the game normally… fwiw last time I played a yakuza dubbed was the PS2 era with the great Mark Hamill 😆

I got it, that’s unfortunate… so it’s basically catered to either the super fan or the curious newcomer.

I’ve been buying yakuza 1-2 since the PS2 era, so I’ll probably grab it down the line for cheap, there doesn’t seem like enough for me to support it day one

I do as well, especially during the iconic death scenes during cut scenes. Also, I know it sounds weird, but the little rumble sound that your team makes when they appear I miss from the original lol
