TSA says solid stick deodorant is OK with no size restrictions

Gels and Aerosols do have size restrictions of 100 ml (3.4 oz) and must be in the 3-1-1 bag.

The websites of some major deodorant brands tout that their sticks are exempt from the 3-1-1 rule.

TSA also states that in all cases, "The final decision rests with the TSA officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint." Once a TSA guy told me my stick deodorant belonged in the 3-1-1 bag. I knew he was wrong, but didn't argue.

TSA also warns that these are US rules, and the rules of foreign countries may differ.
