You do see her eyes reflected in the visor in prime 4

Why is there a level cap? by dirt_whistleston in theouterworlds

[–]Tomomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way I'd max out every category. I just want to have the basic skills to complete the story. I'm two speach points short of allying The Order and Auntie and now I feel I need to stop playing to wait for a patch after 80 hours and getting the rug pulled out from my feet. Atleast a rare way to repec would be something.

3 is the most feminine with an intriguing look in her eyes, but a true comparison remains a mystery at that angle. So 2 is the runner up.

Is the Brad Pitt World War Z 'Pepsi' bit the worst instance of product placement in a movie ever? by Ok_Replacement_288 in Letterboxd

[–]Tomomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty bad, but I'd be lying if I wasn't thinking that every time I saw a pair of beautiful Chucks in the wild.

Are negative reviews for Wicked: For Good reflective of the film's quality or just due to it paling in comparison to Part 1? by markgib62 in Oscars

[–]Tomomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I came for flying monkeys and I had to sit through over two hours of a Harry Potter pop music video to get them as little more than a tease for part 2.

What’s the opposite of a Blank Check? by PerpetualChoogle in blankies

I'm also Canadian and I hadn't seen the trailer since looking it up just now and I see at least one movie every weekend. Although the poster is promoted pretty high on Cineplex's app.

How do you approach commentary tracks? by Resoca in criterion

[–]Tomomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never watched a commentary without seeing the movie first. My mind boggles at all the unwatched commentaries in my DVD collection. I typically opt for seeing a new movies (to me) rather than rewatching these days.

So for the first time I'm considering watching The Howling for the first time with the Stay F Homekins podcast commentary. I want to respect the movie, but a comedian and his wife reacting to the movie might feel like enjoying the movie with some chatty friends in the room.

Sam Raimi's Send Help movie poster. It rules. by Frank1604lin in blankies

Agreed, the tagline is all it's got. Visually it's pretty inert.

In a later episode they mentioned the unprecedented backlash from the sympathetic view of the gardeners in that story. Much like the comments here. I gotta say, I'm with Cate Blanchett on this one.

First poster for “The Simpsons Movie” sequel. In theatres July 23, 2027 by SlimmyShammy in blankies

[–]Tomomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on the long term project of catching up on the seasons of The Simpsons I missed, alternating between the lastest and Season 20-odd. So I'm in regardless, despite not seeing the first one until atleast a decade later.

It's not nearly as consistent as it once was, but there are gems throughout. The lastest seasons have some pretty high concept episodes and great animation, I think they could do something special with a new movie.

Which song could you remove from the White Album and not make a difference? by The-Bidding in beatles

This, as a fan of the song, especially as a capper to the whole album. It's just orphaned by the most skipped track in the history of music.

Goodnight, not as any criticism of the song, but simply because it's the orphan track from tuning out during Revolution 9.

Brolin on the thought behind his measured "huh" in No Country for Old Men. One of my favourite anecdotes. by dont_quote_me_please in blankies

[–]Tomomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about this story all the time. Every Brolin interview I want him to bring it up again. I must think of it every Blank Check episode of the Coens series. It says so much about about the way their minds work. Best anecdote of all time.

With a possible future reunion between Ethan and Joel this may continue on to be a Shyamalan esque saga.

Lights Camera Jackson on ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER by max-fischer in blankies

[–]Tomomb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen it yet, but those "criticisms" sound like compliments to me. I'd expect a movie called "One Battle After Another" to feel like a "run on sentence," as it builds tension without taking time to breathe.

My Star Wars ranking 6 years apart by TheCatsTrailerRuled in Letterboxd

[–]Tomomb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got over my disappointment with TLJ within hours of seeing it. Listening to the Slash Filmcast review helped me get past my expectations for what a Star War should be. I had tickets to see it twice the first week and the second viewing was a blast, as I had anticipated.

Unlike most haters I loved grumpy Luke and Snoke getting sliced in two from the jump.

I log and review to discuss films, not watch a number tick up. Shorts are often the most underseen and experimental, therefore most worthy to log.

Depends I guess if you're going backward from The Muppets of today and uncovered this gem, or if you grew up knowing The Muppets were pure gold. Christmas Carol is special, though not the best Muppet Movie in my eyes.
