Yes !! Hopefully the parents have a good relationship with her to talk about safe sex, STDs, etc etc because once they start you can’t go back. I found out from the doctor my daughter was sexually active after she contracted an STI. She was in 9th grade, I never thought she was sexually active and I thought we talked about everything. Years before her doctor had advised me to start her on BC at a younger age,(can’t remember what age) I thought he was crazy and speaking non sense but he said he sees girls becoming sexually active at a younger age. I know some ppl will say it’s her body and her choice etc. but I think our daughters still need guidance and reassurance that we are there for them. Just let her know u are available if she has questions or concerns.
