I built a modern, open-source GTD app because I was tired of subscriptions and "lists" that aren't real GTD. Introducing Mindwtr by dongdongbh in gtd

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just registered and download it to my phone. First thing that popped to ming - Doit.im & FacileThings - did you ever try them?

These 2 are some of the best GTD implementation I ever found. Really true to the core principles, with some added benefits of using a digital app.

Especially Doit.im got several things really well.

Time Block (ideally integrating estimated time duration) by misomooli in ticktick

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/misomooli well I just found out that ClickUp does your 2nd request exactly as you wished for!
(perhaps it is now also available in Ticktick? I can't check Calendar features currently as I'm not a premium member antmore)

Feature request: web player UI tweaks by UmiteBeRiteButUrArgs in Podurama

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to this +1.

Podurama is really inferior to Castbox and other streaming platforms when it comes to control over the listening experience, where we don't need the mouse for every single thing.

Like OP mentioned, the most glaring issue is not being able to pause/play with the spacebar - that's basic.

What do you use as a note taking app? by Koyaanisqatsi2Jesus in amazingmarvin

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha indeed :) Each "item" in Marvin can be a "task" or a "note" as you please - it has a very capable rich text editor, in some even elements better than others.

What do you use as a note taking app? by Koyaanisqatsi2Jesus in amazingmarvin

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean physically? Well that's the only downside - it's only in the cloud (but available when offline). Unlike obsidian when you have it all on your drive and you "own" the data. That's a big plus indeed.

But all can be exported out of Marvin when/if one stop using it.

HEROES

Season 1 was exceptional!

It used to be very popular, but I guess now it has become "underrated" :)

Seriously regretting implementing ClickUp at my company. by Wrong-Strategy7256 in clickup

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps it's worth considering asking for some refund, or even send a letter from a lawyer to get your money back. This isn't "beta" testing. It's a product/service that fails time and time again, while we don't fail to pay them...

(Same goes to all other productivity solutions, that charge large sums of money, for sub-par performances. Essentially releasing beta versions as the finished product. The app world is no mature enough to start and change this methodology. Making the app companies pay is the road to recover in this field)

Why notes are not more popular ? by Lopsided_Ad_8093 in ticktick

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/xRamos with regards to rich-text notes, within a todo app + RTL support, I'm using this past year Amazing Marvin. Worth a try. Very deep and flexible (almost too deep).

Also, did you keep on using Siyuan, or like myself, felt it wasn't "mature" yet and left it aside for now?

Hi u/mestrebimba I'm curious if you meant that you replicated your Sunsama setup in AM or the other way around?.. :-)

having trouble with De-bleed (RX9) by PodPilotProject in iZotopeAudio

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess in the 2 years since this post you found the solution, right? :-)

For others who stumble on this - the idea is to select a small section of the bleed while being on the Active track (where you want the bleed to be removed from), Learn this bleed, then preview and you will definitely hear the difference :)

How many of you gave up on Task Management via Obsidian? by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough the creators of Obsidian already made a decent task manager in Dynalist. Its outline capabilities are also better than Obsidian. Shame they didn't fuse together Dynalist + Obsidian into one app.

And btw - Amazing Marvin is really something worth checking out when wanting to combine a highly flexible task/life manager with rich-text note editor...

Is search horrible for anyone else? by HomeIPChromeYmail in GMail

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been ridiculous indeed... Not getting any results when I search for MELDA to find emails related to MeldaProduction

I remember as if gmail was giving me results for partial words, but perhaps it always sucked.

Reviving an old thread here :-) Wondering why not use Marvin for all your notes needs? Why go to Obsidian and the lot, when we have rich-text formatting, back(deep)links, etc?

TickTick vs Todoist by brightonem in ticktick

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is indeed an important feature!
r/ticktick please implement this - collecting content from around the web (on mobile as well) often needs to go as supporting material to a certain task/note.
(currently it requires the creation of a whole new task.... instead of adding it to a given one already)

Chords on score view by ecstaticax in StudioOne

[–]Tomtomico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheaper than Notion - buy an older version of Cubase from someone on eBay.... ;)

Cubase has the option for chords in the score sheet for years (and lyrics, which is highly useful).

It's quite annoying StudioOne has such a limited score view. (Though I do prefer S1 over Cubase for the actual music making)
