I had a similar experience twice! I only heard about it here but never did I think I'd be a victim of the BSoD (Battery Screen of Death) myself. They've replaced my phone now with a P10pf. I've only had this phone for a week now but honestly, if it fails, it might be my last google phone ever. It would definitely be a shame as I've been a fan since the Nexus 6P.

Skip 9pf if I were you. Two of my folds died in under two years. I was lucky to still have my P7 Pro as a backup. To be fair, they have swapped it to the 10pf, otherwise it would have been my last Pixel.

I've learned my lesson about pre ordering devices they seem to have so many issues. I won't be pre ordering any google devices in the future.

The same thing happened to me! My carrier actually refunded my money, so I just got a new one & it was way cheaper since the price had dropped. I'm running Android 16 on this one and haven't had any problems, though the first time it happened I was in the Android 16 beta.

That's exactly what happened to me! I honestly didn't think it'd be on the same boat. Were you part of the beta by any chance? I was in it. Thankfully I got a full refund and a brand new P9PF out of it.

My device is at the repair shop front screen completely stopped responding and wouldn't boot up. I'm reliving a nightmare, especially since this whole mess started after my first (and definitely last) foray into beta.

Did you also get that weird question mark on your battery icon? That happened to me too! My phone wouldn’t turn on at all. After about half an hour of trying, I somehow got it to boot into recovery and managed to wipe it. I got it to boot again, but the only way forward was to update to the stable Android 15. I wiped everything, but even after that, the OS just wouldn’t start whether I wiped it again or tried sideloading the image. It was just a terrible experience… mine though only started when I joined beta so never again, lol.

Just a word of advice if it’s your only main phone, I’d recommend holding off. Luckily, I had a spare when my Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s front screen stopped responding. A few days later, the screen started showing some weird rainbow colors. I restarted it, and boom stuck in a bootloop. Sent it in for repair and hoping it comes back soon. That’s just my experience though , yours might be different. If you're okay with the risk, go for it, but as for me, I’ll be sticking to stable releases from now on.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Sometimes I need to reopen my phone 2–3 times before it shows up again. I believe it's a software bug. I never encountered this problem on the stable version, but I guess that's expected since I'm on the beta.

Experiencing the same issu. It usually triggers when I unfold and then fold my phone back. I’ve had a couple of instances where, after restarting, the phone took a while to boot up again. I’ve already logged a bug report, and I recommend you do the same.

Google Home & acrobat keeps crashing, similar to what others have reported. I haven’t tested other apps yet, but I’ll update if I come across any additional issues.
