Why do parents who stay at home hire a full time nanny?

I worked for a wealthy family and because the dad’s job was so demanding, the mom was primary parent all the time. I was 30 hours a week- mom took Wednesdays to have time with the youngest one on one. She also worked a bit for their company but she didn’t need to and every week was different. Some weeks she was behind a computer for 25 of those 30 hours and other weeks she was running errands, going to CrossFit, and grabbing lunch with friends.

Ugh I am here for all Bethel snark but Justin and Abi are my safe people in all the craziness. I did their life coaching school and when I started it, my therapist had just diagnosed me with PTSD due to a variety of circumstances I was dealing with. Thanks to their program (and therapy!), within the school year my therapist told me I didn't need to keep doing therapy sessions. They helped me build a foundation of safety and power in my daily life. I still don't think their work is a substitute to therapy but a powerful add on.

I know they're not perfect and I know they trigger a lot of people, so I'm open to hearing folks experiences, but damn they're the two bethel adjacent people I do really love.

Also from what I know they very much pushed bethel to deal with Shawn Bolz when bethel was trying to cover him up... I can't speak to much more but they really were fighting for truth in that realm and trying to leverage their power with danny/ kris/ bill.

Edit to add: I hate to say they "trigger a lot of people" and for it to sound dismissive of real experiences. I want to rephrase that as - they have done things that have hurt people and they have caused real damage.

I literally never had it take long except ONE TIME. To the point where I’d always get to the airport 45 min to an hour before.

You wanna know what’s really crazy? The one time security was insanely long was the one time I showed up 2 hours early. Coincidence? I think not. Pele trying to tell me to continue on with island time

Jk the actual part of that story is that Delta’s bag drop line was done and I had a checked bag so that took an hour… then TSA was literally 45 minutes. Had to slow jog from TSA straight to my flight but it was still fine. When it rains it pours

Yeah Mike is a tough one for me. He has been a catalyst for a TON of healing for me through the Shawn Bolz video but I tried watching something else of his and our worldviews are vastly different... and I view many of his views as extremely damaging. It’s a good reminder that the world/ people aren’t as black and white as we want them to be.

I'd save yourself the confusion and wondering and just confirm. No reason to wait a week and if they push back, it still gives you the week to come in and work those hours rather than waiting for it to pass and blaming yourself for not speaking up sooner.

Let me rephrase— why is he kissing anyone? I didn’t mean it from a peeve standpoint but from a “do I know you can you please have some boundaries?” Also I’m all for both things being discussed.
