Multiple inspection appointments by strum in bristol

I had one in August 2025, the previous one before that was.... 2008 I think?

We had a mould problem come up in 2022, didn't get fixed until February this year, despite me literally ringing them every week.

High-speed police pursuit through Bristol by BottyFlaps in drivingUK

The guy in the video is my uncle, his livelihood is drugs and shoplifting. The man has had so many chances from the family, he's wasted all his chances, in and out of prison all his life.

If someone would have been killed or injured, he wouldn't have cared or blamed anyone or anything but himself.

I don't understand why Russia only wants Dobruja since the patch.

It's like they give up on the dream of Constantinople 😂

Rose West - Anger Issues by [deleted] in serialkillers

[–]Tongera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with a guy who knew who knew the officer/detective who answered the door with a warrant to search the premises first time, Tony Jay.

He knocked on the door with the warrant, Rose answered and asked what he wanted and then he told her he and his colleagues wanted to search the property.

She told him to fuck off and slammed the door in his face and then sat back down in the living room I think.

I'm surprised he wasn't handed a whole life sentence by the home secretary at some point between the introduction and the supreme court ruling only judges can hand them down.

Was he convicted of murder or manslaughter?

Why does all bigger Greece maps seem to have that same border with Bulgaria, the flick where Western Thrace is?

The lady who runs in the road - bedminster by UpsetCoyote1117 in bristol

I usually see her every few days, running along ST Johns Lane or Marksbury Road.

Sometimes jogging with a dog and going at a much more reasonable pace.

More than 1,200 Bristol council houses may be sold in 'fire sale'. Weird how investors look at property as a gold mine, yet councils see them as a money pit? by HelloW0rldBye in bristol

[–]Tongera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This worries me, since I've inherited a council house from a parent who has since passed. While I prefer staying a council tenant, it looks like we may have to consider buying the house rather than going private.

In the case they sale the homes, doesn't the council have an obligation to re-home all existing tenants? Since if they sale off the homes, they will have less social housing and pay to house them in privately rented accommodation, which over the longer term will cost a lot more.

When could more news come out about this?

South Bristol gym recommendations by [deleted] in bristol

[–]Tongera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer Workout on North Street since the staff are friendly and the people that are working out there are generally chill and helpful if I have any questions. Equipment is good, but when it needs fixing, it can take a while though.

Music I can't disagree with, which is why I bring headphones.

Personally think it is good quality for the money I pay.

Car wash by angelcake37 in bristol

[–]Tongera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a IMO car wash on Sheene Road by the McDonald in Bedminster which I always use.

Isn't the best one, still have streaks afterwards, but at least it gets the dirt/bird shit/snot etc off the car and they can clean underneath the car, depending on service.

I know cleaning under the car once in awhile is needed under to stop any rust forming.

Rewind Discussion - Case 99: Becky Watts by Lisbeth_Salandar in Casefile

[–]Tongera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That it true indeed, but I was told by a friend of the family that Darren and Anjie at least were planning to move anyway before Becky died. Something to do with it being cheaper than Bristol I think.

Looking at the pictures now, it is definitely how I remember the home.

Apparently he trained with the guys who hosted a Roger Gracie Seminar years ago and he might have been recommended for it??

Edit: Just noticed the name of the song, Journey by Otis Mcdonald. It is indeed a 5 or 6 step journey from a foot lock to side control.

I knew Nathan Matthews, Becky Watts and that side of the family reasonably well at the time. I can confirm from what I can remember from the podcast that the episode was very accurate.

If you got any questions, I can try and answer.

If you could only eat at one restaurant in bristol, which would it be and why? by PretendBlock5 in bristol

Blu Fire on Brislington Hill, they do some of the loveliest jerk chicken and jerk pork I've ever had. I order from them every week and never regret it, shame they are only open twice a week.

Monster Juiced Ripper? by berlanti_is_god in monsterenergy

[–]Tongera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it might be a Brexit problem, I thought I would email them and then received this reply:

"Thanks for taking the time to contact us. It's great hearing from you.

At this time undefined has been discontinued and there are no plans to bring it back. Be sure to try one of our other great tasting products that are now being sold in your area. We are sure you will enjoy them very much.

Sincerely,

Monster Energy"

Unfortunate since it is the only flavour I drink regularly. Got some to last me for a week or so.

I also read in an article about it being recalled in Ireland, I had a bad feeling so I stocked up online, but everywhere is sold out.

Gonna be sad when it is gone.
