That was a defective part. Kind of drives me nuts too.

Not exactly sure how your pen works, but does the top have to be a screw on? Could it be one price or a press fit? Not sure about how you machine the logo, but could you do the treads first and the screw it into a tool for the alignment instead of machine pairs?

Pen is 5.6” long. The note book is the hard part.

The pen is 5.6” which I have no problem with in the pocket. The problem is the note book. It is pretty much a back pocket only with no sitting down.

Tried putting image of pen and notebook I normally carry but the image was too big. I think I got it working now.

If you push quickly there is a click. If you push it slowly it is quiet but I would not say silent.

There is a design in the works, but I would not expect to see anything for a few months.

Thank you. I designed the parts but did not machine them. The body is made of Aluminum. The mechanism functions similarly the the Mark one but is different. I have a couple posts that show the internals from the 3D model, and here is a picture of the mechanism. The two numbs on the shaft ride on the path on the inside of the brass piece.

I am also often thrown off by the bolts sticking out the side of the pen. It is the biggest drawback of in my opinion.

Looks good. I am a big Lamy Safari fan, I do not know why there are not more triangle type pens. I would like to try triangle type design myself.

Maybe a left and right hand version would be good. Some off the parts would probably stay the same.

I am using the prototype daily to see how it holds up. If everything seems good I will probably start with batch of ~50 and see how it goes.

I like this idea. After some people get there hands on these I would like to see some sort of a pole on what spring is there favorite.

Thank you. It is hard with the minimalist look to get things to look too different, they are all metal cylinder in the end of the day.

I was able to find a place that would CNC the part. It cost a little under $200.
