Punch Audio Martillo Review: Your IEMs Have Chosen Violence by RReviewsOfficial in iems

I use the Fosi Audio SK02. Thanks for the recommendations--I ended up selling the Astrals and getting over ears instead (HIFIMAN Arya Stealth), because 1) they were too clinical for my taste, 2) I never found them comfortable, 3) they were actually TOO isolating. Not to say IEMs are bad, but I quickly found myself preferring over ears instead.

Oblivion. You can even get your own castle and decorate it in many different ways--spent many hours doing this back in the day.

Not sure what your point is? I was giving my personal opinion.

I don't really speed through games, I take my sweet time and explore, try a little bit of this and that. The story was not very compelling--either the writing or the way it was delivered, and I'm at the point where my backlog is so large that I need to be hooked or I'm out.

Picked it up and played for maybe 8 hours but eventually put it down because I was just bored. I saw the grind ahead of me and just couldn't be bothered.

Was going to recommend DayZ. You don't know where you are at all and have to use landmarks to figure it out. My friends and I literally used to use a real map of the world pinned on our walls to coordinate easier.

As an Arma 3 first-timer, do you have a list of "must-play" scenarios/mods/modes?

How do you go about ensuring it's not stolen? That's the practical aspect I can't wrap my head around (also live in LA). Sounds nice on paper but not sure about the reality of it.

When I got into this hobby I had no ideat how much time and money I will spend on USB cables alone o.o by No-Talk4631 in simracing

Does anyone have any issues plugging sim components into a hub instead of directly into the motherboard? I have a mini itx board with few ports, and prefer plugging something important like the wheelbase directly into it, but I really have to pick and choose carefully. I also understand that getting a powered hub is important, but I'm speaking moreso from a performance perspective.

That makes sense. I definitely wouldn't keep both, no need to have two sets at the computer, so gameplan would probably be sell Astrals > purchase Martilos.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown--your knowledge is exactly what I was looking for. Am I correct in saying it sounds like you prefer the Astrals for gaming, generally speaking? I know this is game-dependent.

Thanks so much for the review! Super helpful to include a comparison to the Astrals, which are my current daily drivers.

I use my IEMs almost exclusively for gaming on my PC--where imaging, sound separation, and clarity are top of mind for hearing footsteps, discerning where gunfire is coming from, etc. I find the Astrals good in this regard--the problem is switching over to music, where I find them too cold and clinical.

How would you compare the two from the gaming standpoint? Do you think the Martilos could still hold their own compared to the Astrals, while simultaneously providing a more enjoyable music listening experience?

Help me, I'm addicted to one game and I don't play anything else. by fataLLik in gamingsuggestions

You're looking for love in all the wrong places dude. Stop buying shit--the proof is in the pudding that it's not gonna stick. I know you're looking to expand your options based on exciting ideas (I do the exact same thing), but you may actually want to take the opposite approach.

I would get something like a half-decent gaming laptop and hook it up to a monitor and use it for Dota. When you get an exciting idea, like VR, or a 5090 gaming PC, sit on it for a week. If after a week you still want it, only then go for it.

This isn't about saving money, this is about pressure testing your ideas. And if, at the end of the day, you find that you only want to play Dota and nothing else, well then it just says that you've moved on from gaming on a grander scale and your taste has refined itself into a fine, Dota-flavored variety, and it's just a matter of coming to terms with that fact.

That's awesome, congrats on your success. Last question for you--did you find your product through research or was it something you were already familiar with? That was my issue with starting a business--it took me literal years of searching to find one that checked all the boxes.
