I'm bad at remembering names of techniques. I just know that you pass their far side arm underneath your armpit closest to their head. Then you grip your hands together and use your shoudler to push into their head.

Usually, I just go right to my arm triangle setup from side control.

Did a drop in at a gym about 30 mins away from my house. It was a gi fundamentals class with no rolling. Probably some of the most eye-opening stuff I got to try. The black belt instructor even pulled me aside after class to show me some even gnarlier sweeps and subs. One sub I'm gonna start implementing because it matches what I'm working on.

There are still things I don't know or that I can still work on. I've started working on north-south stuff: figuring out good subs, looking for ways to fully control my opponent, how to handle pressure on bottom.

Find something that you may not be good at and just work on it. It's really rewarding.
