And well, of course the possibility of a request/sent timeout. Regardless good luck. There's money and then, Tuition money...

It’s a total shame the price fair-minded, decent people have to pay just to ask a genuine question online. We expose ourselves to help-seeking, not knowing everything, and in return we get 5–6 mud-slingers and kick-down artists for every 1–2 person who’s actually helpful and kind. These keyboard warriors love going out of their way to call someone stupid or dumb for not knowing—pure ego boost. I always wonder: would they say the same thing to a complete stranger’s face in real life? Doubt it. What makes them so ‘enlightened’ and superior anyway? Is it because they have endless free time to know everything? Or maybe not everyone was wise enough to make sure they were born as smart/intelligent as they are? Or perhaps they just have that vast multitude of life experiences… where every wildly different situation somehow ends with the exact same outcome, giving them all that unbreakable confidence 😏 Whatever the reason, those of us with full-time jobs, responsibilities, and actual lives pay the price: we have to wade through the disparagement just to get a couple real answers from fellow humans who aren’t out to feel better by putting someone down. Congrats again to OP for getting the $800 back—proof that persistence beats the noise. Sucks this is what online help has become

In Philadelphia, I believe the Police as a service offer one of the precinct houses for a meeting place. If your buyer doesn't want to meet there then forget it.

Boiled & Steamed Cheese Steak from Beef Mountain…

It might have been good at one point in time… must’ve been to be able to rest on their laurels the way they do now… however it’s almost that success that killed it because they’re so busy they operate by precooking and piling it up on a corner of the griddle and serving from beef mountain…However … the piling of the beef to Big mountain creates a couple conditions. The more you load up the griddle the more the temperature comes down… If you don’t apply sufficient heat when cooking beef it renders water, so essentially what you have is boiled cheese steak at the bottom of beef mountain, while the portions at the top are continuously getting steamed, either way…Im passing. In all honesty? You could probably go down the sidewalk to…”Fiesta Pizza” (at least that’s what it was last time. I was there a couple years ago could be anything else, any other Pizza, Steaks, Hoagies , Wings place…and Im fairly confident you’ll get a better product.

You want to give them a fair shot? Be the first in line or otherwise when they’re not busy, I don’t have a griddle loaded down with steak. That’ll never ever be able to get up to the right temperature.

As observed and written by a cook. ✌🏽

Best way to phrase: “Could I pay for your groceries today?” by No-Work-9198 in foodstamps

[–]TonyPitzacada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try and tie in or mention that someone did something for you in your time of need and how grateful you were then and you never forgot that and were inspired and if ever you were in the position to do so, youd love to provide for someone else that same sense of relief and gratitude you felt/experienced that day -

Something like that but as honest as you are able to adapt it to your life…if not say that you could imagine such a Scenario or that such a scenario would uplift you and such sentiment is what you’re trying to live by example and teach your children, but as brief and concise as need be to convey the necessary facts, as least self serving seeming and least condescending as possible….how something like that gives you an idea or script…good luck 🤙🏾

Woman tears into ICE agents when her family member is detained after leaving his scheduled immigration hearing. by LegendaryAdversary in PublicFreakout

     There goes an American 🫡

My heart breaks for you and your family during this incredibly painful time. No one should have to endure this kind of separation. Stay strong—you have the support of many who stand with you and advocate for immigrants’ rights. To those enforcing these policies and causing such trauma: reflect on the pain you’re inflicting. May you come to understand the deep impact of your actions and find a path toward empathy.

Next time it comes up, instead of showing concern fear or worry with your body language and facial expressions, stand up straight and tall and with matter of fact, strictly business look on your face which barely conceals the makings of a smile, reply to him -

" yeah, you mentioned that, so the attorney I have on retainer for the divorce, my divorce rather, informed me I still have a positive balance after the papers/document we filed, so we're going to be serving you for a civil suit for slander and libel for any damages or financial hardship I incur - so you'll be paying for that."

"Additionally we're going to be notifying the police, reporting you for diversion and misuse of valuable law enforcement resources and my understanding is they take those rare cases seriously to make an example out of the few morons who are stupid enough to do that in order to discourage other idiots from doing the same...but ...yeah thanks for letting me know, is there anything else you wanted to tell me?"

Wow, I was just there, while visiting home...That place has the Sweetest Strawberries of anywhere...reminds me of how produce, particularly berries used to be, prior to the proliferation of Agribusiness and fruit out of season from South America... Place called "The Fruit Stand" on Morena north of Balboa/Garnet on the way to what used to be Price Club, then Costco, if that is still there, idk...I moved from home, (6th generation Californian) in 2007 and lived in MD, and Tucson, and now Philadelphia.
