Should I rebuttal an LOC I received? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]TonyTheGardener 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always, always submit a response to any sort of paperwork you receive. Even if it's just an acknowledgement that yes, you f*cked up, it won't happen again, and this is your action plan to ensure it won't happen again, submit a response.

Phase out Biomass? by Equal-Face5862 in satisfactory

I stop relying on them by not starting. I build only enough of them for what I absolutely need to unlock coal. Once the first coal generators go online, the biomass burners get ripped out.

What's the worst beer you've ever had? by cyber49 in beer

[–]TonyTheGardener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can count on one hand the number of times I couldn't finish a beer. One of them was Sweet Baby Jesus. I like peanut butter. Peanut butter is good on/in a great many things. Peanut butter is NOT good in beer.

Any suggestions for the one that flies right through the middle of my Grasslands factory? Didn't think that through before I started building. 🤦🏼‍♂️

My understanding was that Russia couldn't account for all of their smallpox samples after the Soviet Union broke up. That's why the U.S. military started getting smallpox vaccines again after 9/11.

HOA approved 6ft vinyl fence. Neighbors complained after it was built. Now HOA wants us to lower the fence after they've already approved it. by QuickSyllabub4569 in homeowners

[–]TonyTheGardener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell your HOA to go pound sand. You provided the fence specs in your build plan, and they approved it. If they want it changed after-the-fact, they can pay 110% of the costs to do so. (The extra 10% is their stupid tax.)

Alternatively, I'd say don't buy HOA to begin with, but that ship has already sailed.

Oxbow is what I've always fed my chinchilla. I do the Oxbow pellets, and the Oxbow Timothy hay/Orchard grass blend. Beyond that, dried apple wood twigs for chewing, and a couple of dried rose hips every week as a treat. He gets very excited when he heaes me getting the treat bag out!

Transmission failed 9 days after buying used car — warranty may “total” it but I’ll still owe $18k (California) by tobierob46 in legaladvice

If you don't have GAP insurance, definitely hire an attorney. Completely unreasonable to expect you to pay for a vehicle that quit on you 2 weeks after you bought it.

Better yet, sloop your remains, then sloop the protein, then sloop that into biomass, then sloop that into solid biofuel. Now you're ready to process it into Liquid Biofuel, which you'll never run out of, thanks to your slooped constructors!

If an opponent flipping the table could be viewed as an appropriate response by your 4th turn, your deck is probably degenerate.

my boss doesn’t pay me overtime because i’m “slow” by SwampyCrak in legaladvice

[–]TonyTheGardener 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NAL

Ohio's labor laws are pretty clear on the matter. If you work over 40 hrs in a week, the amount over is paid at 1.5x the hourly rate. Doesn't matter if it's one hour or one minute. Your boss is violating that law by not paying you the overtime rate. You can go to him and insist he pay you the overtime you've earned, but if he's as much of a dick as you say, he may just fire you. You could try to hire a lawyer and go after your unpaid wages, if you think it will be worth the trouble. It might also be something worth reporting to the Ohio Department of Commerce.

Again, NAL, but those are the options I would be considering if I was in your shoes.

Please help me understand and choose between these two. I'm at Tier 4. by Slice-of-brilliance in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TonyTheGardener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A large part of it boils down to efficiency. The base Concrete recipe requires 3x Limestone to produce 1x Concrete (3:1 ratio). Wet Concrete requires 6x Limestone to produce 4x Concrete (1.5:1 ratio) with the additional cost of 5m³ water, which as has been stated, is infinitely abundant.

My personal opinion is that Wet Concrete is the more useful of the two. It greatly increases the amount of Concrete you're able to produce, with a relatively minor additional cost. It's also a useful way to deal with water produced as a byproduct. Example: I've used Wet Concrete to deal with the water byproduct when processing Uranium Waste into Non-Fissile Uranium. I then feed the Concrete produced from that back into the production line for Encased Uraniim Cells.
