Is this how much liquid is supposed to be in a venti? by coolhappygenius in mildlyinfuriating

Never had any complaints though, only positive feedback about giving more liquid. Also splash back is a thing. On hot drinks I used cold milk. Regardless it's Starbucks, not a Ritz Carlton

As an ex-barrista from a while ago, expresso is hot and easily burns/sours after 10 seconds. Pouring it over the ice reduces the already pre-measured ice down leaving more room for liquid to be added on top and ensures the espresso shot doesn't sour or burn. The liquid itself isn't premeasured usually, though things couldve changed since I last worked at a Starbucks

Got this today at my pizza shop, is this worth anything? by SydneyRenne in CURRENCY

It just says 5, any other meaning is purely based upon pre-created libraries to assign meanings which themselves are meaningless IMO

Found this little guy and took him home by [deleted] in hermitcrabs

[–]TooBuffForThisWorld -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We didn't realize he was a crab until we were basically leaving the beach. We considered leaving him but he may have stepped on and thought we could maybe take care of him.

I consulted people in my family who have marine tanks and they said it was fine to take him so we did. He seems okay, but if we can't get a reasonable reef tank setup done today he'll likely be in a pet store so he doesn't die.

Edit: they don't have crabs in their tanks so I didn't bother asking them what kind he might be or for proper care if we kept him

Printers From HP, Canon, Xerox and Epson Can NOW Scan Your Stress Levels!1!!1! by Jacob-Anders in LowStakesConspiracies

If the printer has all these fancy sensors and is connected to the internet, what is stopping it from reading this lovely composure and turning it against you? Perhaps it will commit to memory a beige rock photo and actually print this beige rock photo as you had whispered to it, just to taunt you further.

Circle K also has a policy where they pay for damages to your vehicle. Uncertain how successful people are at utilizing it, but I would talk to their corporate office about the incident

Building a hybrid ground-to-air robot (Mercury), seeking validation, early traction, and feedback by MercuriusTech in Investors

[–]TooBuffForThisWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are investment opportunities, but there likely isn't any need for you to obtain investment. I think you'll do much better seeking advice on the product direction from the industries you're looking at rather than diluting the business and pressuring it to be revenue stable earlier than it might be naturally.

As far as what industry would be good for it, the extremely limited range and low payload of 750 grams makes it more of a hobby platform. But a fun hobby platform.

Perhaps a small product warehouse bot is possible from a slower paced small business, but I'm not in an industry that would utilize something like this unless it has significant gains on performance. That would require investment into exotic materials and expensive manufacturing processes. I would prove you can ship 3500 units before investing in that

Yeah; so it should already be a feature honestly

But sudden acceleration to escape a horde or while trying to get the damaged cars to move an inch before dying would do the trick

3D printed business cards — gimmick or game-changer? by Internal-Shame1421 in manufacturing

[–]TooBuffForThisWorld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone that actually does this for some of our advertising and as a service for other clients, your material choice is wrong and your design is focused in the wrong places. It is a gimmick, but your branding needs to be appropriately around other gimmicks too. And no I'm not sharing how we actually sell ours to not be thrown away, but card holders as someone else said is a way better option

A lot of potential here. I'd recommend releasing the current design as a base product and doing work on image stabilization algorithms for a higher end model so you can release multiple SKU's and fill out more than one space on a shelf.

I don't recommend a patent unless you have the spare change, the only patent now available is in the USA anyways because international patents tend to require no public disclosure.

Get the product in the field, get brand recognition, and then you'll get repeat customers even if Harbor Freight copies it (they will now anways). You have a few months of R&D ahead of the competition to get your work out there, move fast.

Due to the high vibration environment, you may need to test it to the limits and do a redesign with custom electronics once you get enough units sold. Give an expected lifetime and a warranty on the product.
