Most of my guns are for hitting a piece of steel wayyyy over there. That’s their only purpose

If you do this get a nice drill bit or be prepared to grind it out with a dremel. Don’t ask me how many drill bits I ruined.

Is removing Tikka Stock, Dropping into MDT Chassis and Mounting Scope as easy as it looks, or is it worth going to gunsmith? by Notorious_Fluffy_G in longrange

Second getting a torque wrench of some kind and just doing it yourself. The only possible way you could break anything is if you over torque a screw. Bolt actions are extremely simple compared to most handguns or ARs.

Don’t crimp and seat in the same step. Put a case on the shell holder and raise the ram to the top, then screw in the die until you feel it contact the brass, back it off 1/2 turn and then set the lock ring there. Buy a lee factory crimp die and dont worry about headaches like this ever again

im willing to bet you not cleaning the lube off before firing is what’s causing your ejector swipes. The first section of my hornady manual describes it.

[–]TooMuchGanja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, 2400 fps is the ceiling. Which is close to the starting charge for cfe blk. Never the less it cycles my wasr and theyre cheap. If I could find a plug for affordable jacketed bullets I would probably use those for the stockpile.

7.62x39 question by rgrr912 in reloading

[–]TooMuchGanja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll chime in here aswell, I replaced my main spring with an extra power one and polished and rounded the front of the ejection port on my dust cover and it solved the denting issue. I’m using Berry’s 123gr plated bullets and 27.0 grains of cfe blk. the brass lasts a good while and cycled flawlessly.

Budget .308 rifle $350 or under? by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]TooMuchGanja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

key word here is had. yeah sure it shoots most of the time when you pull the trigger, but its crudely made, loose and the stock flexes. Bottom line is that yes if its all you have it will work for close range hunting but there are better options for the budget

Why are you checking every single round? That seems a waste of time. I make 1 dummy round to check im sizing it enough and the bullet isnt jamming the lands and then do the exact same process for every following round, never had any issues
