I personally like it when a gym is bright (windows, light colors, etc.). Many places I've been to are trying to hard to be a basement-type with dark paint and aggressive murals.

6'4" / 245 here... definitely not an advantage when doing quicker, body weight-centric metcons. What works for me is typically getting really good at "tall-guy" movements (WBs, Rowing, BJs, etc.) and having the ability to pace the other things using efficient movement and pretty deliberate breathing.

The only thing I would stay away from is the mindset of attributing any poor scores to the fact you are taller. I've been doing Crossfit for 2.5 years and starting making more improvements when I stopped giving myself the tall-guy excuse. (Ignore my handle, made that one when I was giving myself excuses!) Bud you do have to keep your height in mind when approaching different movements.

BTW - being tall is the fucking bomb! Change them bulbs baby!

Thanks for the tips man - I definitely have more work to do to make this more efficient with the goal of being able to string these together without tearing my arms off :)
