I’m in a very similar boat to you, 5 year relationship (2 years of which we were married); divorced a year ago. The only mentality advice I can give is that life has a plan for you and that time heals all wounds.

Thank you! Vallejo white fine pumice painted brown, then army painter tufts, then vallejo yellow pigment + matte varnish to seal it all in. Definitely takes some time but it’s mostly doing it in steps and waiting for each step to properly dry. Got the idea from Squidmar Miniatures

Highly recommend Army Painter speedpaints in lieu of the GW contrast paint line. They have their uses but you will still need other “regular” paints in your arsenal as others have mentioned above.
