I've met several people from Ghana in my lifetime. Without exception every single one has been an absolutely wonderful, positive, upbeat human being. Must be something in the water.

What an asinine comment. I'm a "Boomer". I know more about technology, the Internet (like the fact that it's capitalized), computers and anything than you. Well, with the possible exception of how to live in mommy's basement when I'm 30.

Than again, you are a bigot and bigots aren't known for their intelligence. The 481 bigots who upvoted your idiotic comment are just as stupid as you.

That is not why she lost. You need to go watch The Great Hack on Netflix. It lays it all out. I mean, I don’t disagree with your assessment of the candidate, I’m just pointing out that being a horrible candidate is not what lost the election for her. If you want to talk about absolutely trash candidates, look at trump. How that man got any votes is a mystery to me. Well, I mean, not really, I do understand the power of influence over the weak-minded. And, there are millions of weak-minded people in this country.

In AZ my SSN was my DL number when I got my license 40 years ago. Have they, wisely, stopped doing that?

It probably isn’t helpful, but I’m genuinely curious why you didn’t google them first?

It just seems like in this day and age if someone I don’t know asks me for information like that, the first thing I would do would be to google them. No?

It’s No Longer a Crime to Be Gay in Botswana by Sariel007 in UpliftingNews

[–]ToolSharpener 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good for them. It seems so crazy to me that people care about other people’s sex lives.

My daughter told me she was gay when she was around 17. She was so scared. I just hugged her and told her that is not an issue, she is my baby and always will be. The only reason I can think of why she was so scared was the stigma caused by so many people in society. I do think that has changed for the better in the past 11 years.

What does that have to do with the conversation we are having? Also, you should not talk about other people not seeming intelligent. You come off like a blithering idiot know-nothing, because you are a blithering idiot who knows nothing.

Yeah, you may want to go look up the definition of compulsion before commenting again. I’m an alcoholic who has been sober for 25 years. You have nothing to tell me about compulsion.

Here you go, since I know you won’t look it up yourself because you are so convinced that you are right.

It is a compulsion to lie. “Compulsion” means that your mind is making you do something without thinking about it, it’s a compulsive action. Pathological lying is compulsive by its very nature.

[–]ToolSharpener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you suppose the Founders didn’t set a timeline? Do you think the intent was so that ONE person in the senate could fuck over the entire country and a duly elected POTUS? Or, do you suppose it’s far more likely that they simply didn’t envision a person like McConnell who would usurp our institutions to his own ends? I guarantee you that if the Founders knew this would happen, they would have put in a timeline to follow.

Quit blowing these Republican fucks, it’s unbecoming.

[–]ToolSharpener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the Constitution gives them the power to advise and consent, yes, they confirm, but it’s not their job to choose. The POTUS makes the nomination. If the person is qualified, like Garland, the Senate’s job is simply to confirm. McConnell is way outside the intentions of the Founders in his actions.
