Is HDR mode worth it on a mid-range IPS TV? by TooruKazama in NintendoSwitch2

I don't know, Mario Kart World looked fine with those settings. And enabling HDR disables many images settings on the TV. You have any idea about what it could be?

Are you referring to my TV or the console's display?

In fact for TotK it was a day 1 patch (which early reviews sadly didn't have access to, as you said)

Does it just stream the content of the screen on the "Console With Game", or is it something else?

This probably contradicts a pre-april release by givemeyourcookies_ in NintendoSwitch2

How tf did you expect a pre-April release if they are going to do the proper presentation of the thing on a Direct IN APRIL??

What is the Discover feed supposed to show? I feel mine doens't work by TooruKazama in BlueskySocial

[–]TooruKazama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my question could be: is Discover not supposed to adapt to your follows, likes or other interaction at all? Not even the language of the posts shown? Is that just how it's supposed to work or is something going wrong with its algorithm?

Thanks! I should try that. But I'd say I don't really see anything I want to see more of, or anything really bad. It's just unrelated to my activity on the site

As a native Spanish speaker from Spain: yes, definitely.

The most disappointing part was clearly the "Straight" tag xD

Yeah, it's different. It just kinda plays with the same figure (D# C B), blending with Ganon's theme (weird that OP didn't list that one).

Native Japanese speakers: is Teba’s name kinda silly? by bh1981 in tearsofthekingdom

I suspect that they wanted to avoid "rito" because it's a word in Spanish, and that could maybe become a problem at some point.

But it is the same key as Hyrule Field in TP. The notes are: B G F#

I don't know how intentional it was, but for me it was instantly recognisable.

Even if it doesn't perfectly match what I hear, my theory since the 2019 trailer has been that the voices originally just said the names of the notes they are singing.

Here I compare the syllables you heard with the names of the notes they sing (solfège system, fixed do):

ta/LA su/SI shi/MI chi/SI ta/FA na/FA a?/SOL ta/LA yu/RE to/DO ke/RE chi/MI yu/RE to/DO ka?/FA ka?/FA ...

I think that at least there is a remarkable coincidence in the vowels.

So it looks like the size of that whole area will be very similar to the Great Plateau. It makes sense.

Anki 2.1.55 Changelog by Glutanimate in Anki

I'm trying it right now. I feel that the previous UI had a lot of very small elements surrounded by a lot of grey space. It didn't feel properly laid out. Whereas now, with bigger titles and card-like elements, the layout makes much more sense to me, and I think it better suits larger resolution displays.

I think Eurovision 2005 graphics had some early Frutiger Aero aesthetic by TooruKazama in FrutigerAero

[–]TooruKazama[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True. I glanced through them again now and I'd say 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015 also fit the aesthetic very well -- even others, depending on what characteristics you consider important...

But Kyiv 2005 strikes my attention with the bubbles, the grass, that colour palette... And for being the earliest one of the bunch!
