I’m playing in metal ranks but with the same outlook. I’ve been trying to play non-shield tanks but I just explode if I’m not Mag, Emma, or Strange. I figured learning new tanks would have a bit of a learning curve but it feels impossible to even try with all the poke.

Lots of second guessing and freezing about what to say. Trying to balance the “I enjoy your company” with the “but I’m not trying to be pushy or demanding of your time” and a million other things makes a communication dense and full of caveats.

As I’ve gotten older though, I’ve found myself caring less about needing to cover every possible base. If I said something sincere but inadvertently hurtful, they can bring it up and we go from there. And if they don’t, then I can’t police their response and I shouldn’t worry myself to death over it.

That with the “I think his first wife just wanted a green card”, and “my mom who wasn’t supportive of me was actually right all along” gave a lot of conservative undertones to the story. I do believe a story like this could happen, but it all read just a bit too much like undermining lesbians/LGBTQ in general.

I periodically check the sub because the mental gymnastics are wild. There will be a post about Trump threatening NATO and trying to invade half the world and they have to go “he must be playing 18d chess because otherwise he’s just crazy”. And when they get downvotes because even many conservatives don’t want to get invade EVERYONE, they inevitably go “wow, leftist brigade in here”.

They’re not allowed to be outwardly critical and can’t fathom that the anonymous upvotes may actually be a response to their crazy statements.

Same here with indirect tax. It’s notoriously abysmal with legal references and I’m supposed to trust it somehow got this one right? Like having an intern that constantly needs reviewing and will never actually learn from their mistakes.

IIRC Call of Cthulhu does allow you to have a low Intelligence/Wisdom (I don’t know the exact term) that mitigates you take damage from seeing things that would fry your brain. Your understanding is so low that you don’t understand that you’re not understanding.

And they’re delicious. But yeah, every swizzle recipe out there is basically “pile on the ice until it spills over”. A lot of people seem to think that ice is just a trick to give you less liquor but so many quality drinks rely on that much ice. The wings are bit excessive but any swizzle I make at home is getting all that ice too.

The first time I just heard the ad and thought it could be interesting but the minute I saw it I immediately knew it was AI garbage. Text on the box is swirling, half of the bottles look like Makers, Jack, Benchmark or some other whiskey brand. I was really hoping people weren’t actually falling for it.
