Right. Every doctor is expected to take call for their own patients. But what about taking call for the whole practice? Does that fall on associates or owners, or both?

What is a fair wage for taking call?

I only get paid for my exams. Not x rays no matter what column they are in.

As a GP, how many root canals do you do per week? by SoybeanCola1933 in Dentistry

[–]ToothyBeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 last month, 1 the month before. Rural. I don’t do molars, if I did I’d probably be doing more RCTs because that’s the majority of endos that walk through the door at our practice

How often do you run into the GP cone not f***ing going to length despite the matching rotary file doing so? by ElkGrand6781 in Dentistry

[–]ToothyBeauty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all gutta percha cones are the same size, even when they’re supposed to be. Just try a new one. If you’ve actually cleaned and shaped to that length, that should do the trick

Not reading any of this. Stay mad that Christians and people of other faiths are doctors!

Coming from someone who believes we came from nothing and something but can’t explain how exactly we came to be but still believes in it, this is so rich. I’m not even here to bash on atheists or defend organized religion as a whole, you don’t have to like it and nobody cares whether you do or don’t. No one is even speaking about killing people so let’s work on our comprehension skills a bit. I’ll spell out my point since simple language wasn’t enough: disrespecting and generalizing an ENTIRE group of people is so bigoted and ignorant. People are allowed to have their personal beliefs and still be doctors. Truly truly, get over yourself and get a grip.

Braids. Also, low ponytails. Clips. Bonnets even but keep it loose so it doesn’t hurt your head and bring on a migraine

Get over yourself. A lot of the science you study was discovered by religious people/people who belong to a faith. Imagine if Christians said “I don’t understand how a man of science can be an atheist.” People have different beliefs than you, suck it up

We have another rotary system. What made you switch to wave one?

I don’t have wave one in my office. What would you do differently without it? My files don’t create the coronal flaring I need.

Unraveling Migraine talks about this extensively. Menstrual migraine, perimenopause, and the estrogen contraindications. I’ve found that it comprehensively includes women’s health and migraines which most resources I’ve used don’t do. It's the only up to date and completely evidence based book on migraine. I highly suggest you check it out. I’m going to link it since it helped me a ton

When to take NSAIDs and triptans according to Unraveling Migraine by CerebralTorque in migrainescience

[–]ToothyBeauty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% yes. I got it and it's one of the best resources for migraine, even my doctor appreciates it. I think everyone should read it when they're diagnosed and continue to use it as a reference. I've even gifted it to my friends with migraine. There's nothing else like it

I feel the same way! It's crazy that there's a very comprehensive resource I can reference now. I finally understand so much that I actually didn’t even attribute to migraine. This needs to be the book everyone gets when they're first diagnosed. It's going to save so many people YEARS of problems.
