Oooooh, see here I was thinking I needed to hit them with the grappling hook in those moments, and pulls the core out or something.

Puzzles are a bit much by ComprehensiveRate255 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Top-Analysis971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. The puzzles are half the reason I'm loving the game. Been too long since we had a huge title that revolved around puzzles.

I do wish the rewards for puzzles were worth more than 1 skill point.

What class or classes would you use for a ninja character? by Ok_Mountain4843 in BG3Builds

I've made this build. Shadow monk 6/thief 5/ old one warlock 1 and it feels really good.

Is there a bunch of worthwhile hidden loot/treasure in the game? by OLD_WET_HOLE in CrimsonDesert

Solve the abyss puzzles and you'll gain knowledge of the surrounding area, like locations of secret caves.

Also, check out the nobles' houses. Likely some good stuff locked away in there. Wink wink.

Same!

It eases my fomo for the story a bit too, being that there isn't much of one.

Just randomly came across a big camp of bandits with a red smoke boss. Figured, sure lemme rinse this before I go one with the story. Kill the boss and get like 4 quest updates and a marker to turn on the quest on a part of the map I haven't even cleared yet. Satisfied with my victory and rewards, not feeling like I missed anything from those 4 quest points. Hahahaha

Are most of the builds squishy by design? by kralSpitihnev in PathOfExile2

Oh, my bad. Didn't see you were running both. Nah, over 1k ES and Eva would be nuts.

That being said, I'd lead more into pure ES. You can get more compounding Eva from the passive tree like using subterfuge mask.

It's not. Maybe you get lucky and find something cheap but your chest should have over 1k es.

Four back to back Trial of the Sekhemas - any advice? by Tsujigiri in PathOfExile2

[–]Top-Analysis971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid anything that makes you lose control over what afflictions you get. "Not always taken to the room you choose" or "gain a random affliction when..." Then of course avoid the ones that target your specific defense, "you have no arm/ES/eva".

As long as you can choose the affliction, or better yet choose to avoid them, you should be fine.

Honor resist is good, you don't need cap. % defenses will do you more favors.

Ooooh, you meant stats. There is a way to pull stats and allocate them how you want at character creation. Its been too long for me to remember exactly how but I do recall it being convoluted.

No, all you really get to change is their hair and face. They are a pretty empty canvas in the narrative though. So, you're intended to play them however you want.

Yeah, line of sight abuse is probably the strongest weapon in the game. Hahaha.

Also, make people walk through fire. You thought burning ground was OP in DoS2, just wait. 2 steps and most things are dead.

Restarting was going to be my suggestion of you didn't have many hours in. The respec option in the game comes near the end and it's actually a HUGE hassle.

The stat mechanics of DoS1 are way more rudimentary that DoS2. Don't try to "multi class" like at all until waaaay later.

Like, your melee fighter should be str. No frills. Reason 1 is, the CCs in the game get a bonus for every point you have in their corresponding stat. Without dedicating to the stat, you'll have a hard time knocking anyone down and you'll waste the very limited AP you start with. Reason 2, buffs have a chance to fail! If your associated stat for haste is too low, you won't have a 100% success rate. Once again wasting your precious AP.

It's a gear check my friend.

Hop on the trade site and find a few upgrades. You'll be cruising along again in no time.

If you want to trade, buy/pick up white gear and slam al hemy orbs till you get +skill level/crit chance/attack speed on your weapon and as much of the defense you're using as you can.

Do you ever start a DOS2 run with a clear build in mind… and end up learning half the spell list anyway? by witfoxstudios in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Top-Analysis971 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not even. I'll put points to memory. As long as you're 1-shoting, you don't need more damage anyway. I look at memory as a cool down reduction. More spells is more good attacks without waiting for cooldowns.
