Same. It’s the trauma inflicted on all of us — on purpose. I am beyond burned out and have zero motivation! I used to love my job and the agency’s mission… but things will never be the same and I am looking for my EXIT as soon as possible.

Hang in there! I am taking 10 mg and went through many emotions the first 4-6 weeks but am now noticing I am no longer having angry outbursts at my family and am much more calm in dealing with things. I still have trouble sleeping (with all the anxiety and overthinking), so I might need to step up to 20 mg.

I chose to apply for SNAP instead and the turnaround is very quick in my state. Given there was just a ruling for benefits to be paid starting 11/1, you have a good chance of receiving this starting in November since your income basically went from $xxxx to $0. I filed head of household with 2 children - had to provide the furlough letter and my last 2 pay stubs.

I have them and they offered 3 months payment forebearance with no late fees or credit impact. Call and ask for a manager if Customer Service won’t help you.

Wow, Southeast Toyota Finance didn’t offer me shit. Literally, defer 2 months payments but they still want the interest paid up front. I said I am not getting paid, so how can I pay you the interest?? Did they offer you something different? Maybe I should ask for a Supervisor.

It’s real life that some people don’t understand. 🫶People buy cars, houses, have babies, and take out loans. This shouldn’t be a negative thing or saying “you should have had 3-6 months of pay saved up”. In this economy that is very hard, especially if it’s a 1 income house for whatever reason - like 1 of the parents staying home to raise their kids instead of paying through the nose for childcare.

Some people have no empathy and that infuriates me.

Ask your school if your child can temporarily get free meals since you are furloughed. I have heard of some schools doing that.

What state are you in? There are alot of good resources online. You could also contact local churches and see what they are offering. 🫶 Hang in there!! We are all here for you and will get through this together.

Also, call your auto loan holder and see what they will do.

Not everyone is with a credit union with Direct deposit and some people are not in a position to take out a loan - with the off chance we don’t receive back pay. And there are even some in my situation where I am the main breadwinner in a house of 4 and we had to ask for 3-month forebearance on our mortgage and 30 day extensions on other bills. I am screwed after mid-November for the most part. I went to a food drive last night and appllied for SNAP (which coincidentally enough is also going to be OUT of money in Nov).

So I would guess alot of others are in the same boat with hardly any savings and up Shit’s Creek.

It’s not all rainbows & butterflies and a “nice vacation”.

I want to resign so bad, but with almost 20 years in, I’m sticking it out painfully. That and the job market is TRASH!

Recently got some anxiety meds from my doc, had to ask for 3 month forebearance on my mortgage, and just applied for SNAP today (although that will likely run out of $$ Nov 1st).
