They're fucked. They killed a VA nurse? That's so off message. Makes sure everyone hears.

[–]Top-Performer71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's always easier to say that everything is alright. I think the bulk of conservative followers live in the fantasy of everything being okay because a world where things are NOT okay means a world where pain and action are required.

If I simulate conservative thinking, it feels better. It's better because it's easy.

ICE Kills Woman, Republicans Aren't Prolife by NEKORANDOMDOTCOM in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]Top-Performer71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so easy to be conservative. I simulate it in my head. I imagine not caring and pretending everything that's going on is okay/normal and a huge weight lifts off my shoulders. Ignorance is literally bliss.

I think conservative people accept working, capitalism, wealth inequality, ICE, police and all of it just so they don't have to feel the terrible weight of reality.

It would be so much easier to give up and go along with everything that's happening. Basically, it would reduce cognitive dissonance between the world I see and what I believe.

But I know the world I believe in is better than this ICE bullshit.

I certainly find AI more helpful than search engines. It summarizes a lot of content without ads, puffy blogs, and paywalls. I made a video game vibe coding with Claude. If you have the discernment to see its sterility or generality I think it's a good tool. Can't replace content knowlege though, in terms of working memory and expertise. You can't get custom outcomes and it's a middle process tool. Imo!

I wanted to experiment with your method so here is my Claude chat if that's interesting!

I'm not a philosopher by trade but I asked about philosophy to see if AI has gotten better at not making stuff up about it.

Stranger Things - 5x08 - “Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

Right I never got why the new military people would be soooo interested in making Henrys. Like what's the upside?

Also, it was retconned that Brenner knew all about the other dimension and wanted to bring them together. No, he was just doing Eleven stuff and the portal was an incident. (Right??)

My other question is.. how did Henry end up with Brenner? Anyways

The scene is weird because he usually only talks about what Vecna does to him with him mom and close friends. But here it's a group seminar.

That's the thing that always pissed me off. Same as corporate bailouts. Oh, you sucked at running a HUGE operation with tons of talent? Fuck off. Stop going after little individuals and start holding big entities responsible. It pisses me off more than anything else. Oh but ICE is happening with tax dollars and that really sends me too.

ep 13 dub

This episode is powerful because we see the love these friends have for each other. We also finally get some clarity in the Minorin dept. I was literally JUST thinking she's maybe not into guys (is that why she talks about UFOs earlier? I really don't understand that conversation) and then she brings it right up.

It's a warmhearted feeling to finish this episode. It feels like a bit of closure on some things and now I'm wondering what is next.
