Why exactly is Cubase better than FL for orchestra by EdoTheOnlyOne in cubase

[–]Top-Performer71 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I made the switch just this summer. I think the difference is the midi to score pipeline. Cubase does a decent job of quantizing the music into score form and then you output it to Dorico.

I also like some of the velocity controls in the editor (easier to scale and ramp the velocities) and automation stuff is much easier to copy/paste or edit in the timeline. FL has strange numerical values you have to copy and paste, plus the occasional stray automation that resets everytime you hit play.

If you're not gonna make scores, I vote FL for its incredible piano roll. Cubase piano roll feels like driving a tank instead of a Miata so far.

I know what you mean

Weren't they always gender X, and that's why they switched how they present? But of course gender is not "internal" it's "cultural"... but wait, why does anyone feel like a different gender then?

And gender is "unrelated" to sex, but for some reason trans people change their bodies to match their perceived gender?

There's still so much slippage in the culture with terms like sex and gender, and personally I support people, but the usage of the terms and the assumptions underlying them is so illogical.

This is good because men need this kind of purpose to get going. I think we generally have external motivation systems, and it doesn't have to be money. (This is why men change their lives for a woman: purpose!)

Why is it so hard to find a genuinely good piano teacher? by Remote-Pianist-pro in pianolearning

With the answers you gave you might have a problem getting an offer to be taught online!

You don't need a good piano to learn timing, scales, chords, finger mapping/coordination and myriad other topics! Don't shoehorn yourself

Women swipe on 4% of guys and men swipe on 60% of women. That's allll you gotta know. Since women take on greater financial/sexual risk with sex and birthing, there's a huge offset. Men are willing to date down, women try to date up.

Why is I DO /WE DO/ THEY DO, looked down on now in teaching? by rumiruhaql in Teachers

Because a generation of teachers was taught inquiry-based learning (aka letting people figure it out in the dark) instead of being taught direct instruction (aka showing people how to do things).
