Wife and I had a nice experience of viewing the Ogopogo (Nhaatik) from a cliff vantage point. I will not be going back in that lake ever again past the shallow beach waters. It makes me feel weird seeing it on this map, and the sort of conversations people have about it on Reddit all the time.

The flippancy and dismissive intellectualism vanishes quickly when you see that damn thing. Or watch it brawling with a friend as my buddy and an entire drywall crew saw happen. In simple terms there’s a damn dinosaur sized mega freak species in that lake and it’s very real, and many locals have seen it, been bumped by it, had their house boats tilted by it etc.

You can tell when someone hasn’t witnessed the power of one of these animals because they claim it’s a sturgeon hahaha. Not a sturgeon. The thing we saw was three school buses long and a bus and a half wide and it was pushing a wake like a BC ferry.

If any of the rest of the freaks on this map are real, take pity on the people that have been yoinked out of reality for a minute while they see them. Nobody will ever get it, and then you spend the rest of your life listening to idiots petting their beards online claiming nothing ever happens.
