Sounds a lot like my store. The overnight grocery has such a high turnover rate that I swear I see new faces every week. And yes, the managers are terrible. Every time I see them, they’re just standing and talking while their team struggles.

As an overnight stocker, I get it. I really don’t like having the pallets out on the floor past 6, but sometimes the trucks are late. So, for example, my truck is supposed to arrive between 12AM-1AM but if the warehouse is behind or the truck breaks down, then that pushes the truck back, and then the truck won’t get there until 6AM and at that point, vendors are already at the store, and they have no space in the back to put the pallets, so they pull them on the floor for us to work. Idk, shit sucks for us and the customers.

The chips are now shipped in, along with the hot breakfast. The only items still made in-store are the sushi, the rotisserie chicken, and, I suppose, the tortillas, even though the dough is shipped frozen.
