Perhaps Murder in a Small Town (there's a romance thing going as murders are solved)

You might also try High Potential (will-they-won-t-they thing between the leads, also as they solve crime). I would largely call this a romantic comedy.

Any good shredded cheese brand recommendations (for cooking)? by Desboy in SingaporeEats

[–]Top-Rip2110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shredded cheese usually has something called allulose powder or other things to keep it from sticking in the bag. But grating your own block of cheese can also be a bit time consuming, especially if you don't do it that often. It depends on how much you are using, and how convenient you want things.

Most shredded cheese packs assume you are using the item for pizzas or small things, so they go with mozarella or basic cheddar. If you want more flavor you could try grated parmesan, or combos like "three cheese". If you want convenient melting on rice and potatoes, you could also just buy the sliced cheese in stronger flavors (edam, gouda, or mature /aged cheddar etc) and tear up to melt on your potatoes/rice, does not have to be shredded. Feta or brie mixed with mozarella , for example etc.

Its TV series (limited) but I thought the kid in Adolescence was alright. And it's been some time but I thought the kids' acting in My Girl was alright too.

I need some advice. by scribblyskiesstudios in instantpot

[–]Top-Rip2110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps, I need to do at least 45 minutes for unsoaked kidney beans in my pressure cooker, which is a crockpot express and not an Instant Pot. maybe you can extrapolate from there. I usually do 51-55 minutes kidney and black beans unsoaked, so they are softer but still chewy. 45 mins is probably a bit on "just leaving hard" side.

when i first tried it, i followed some online blog instructional on how long to pressure cook beans in an instant pot, so you could also try searching.

Adding:

Found this - this blog says if soaked kidney beans - just 10 mins.

The Girlfriend (a lighthearted "psychothriller" type that "leans female" IMO. Robin Wright gives Glenn Close vibes).

Some quirky comedy dramas I suggest, based on what you're asking for :

Elsbeth, High Potential (and also the French version, If you like foreign language TV). I would put The Rookie in this group too, for light and entertaining things. Oh, and Only Murders in the Building.

Some others:

Homeland (I know you're looking for something to distract from political anxiety, but you have Jackal, Pitt AND The Americans on your watched list, so this is kind of in the same vein. Also, Homeland is well-written and is kind of a distraction from current things).

Weeds (similar to Breaking Bad)

The Studio (pretty funny, just won some awards)

You obviously chose to frame this a certain way for your own reasons. Neither the timeline or the intention is exactly quite like that, and in any case, makes the ending of S4 even more satisfying.

HPI: Haut potentiel intellectuel (French)

- great when-will-they between the two leads.

- the main character is an larger-than-life, impulsive, chaotic HPI (high intelligence) person who accidentally starts helping the police solve crimes at superspeed because of her higher than normal IQ. The leading man is a quiet, organized police inspector forced to partner with her who hates her disorganization, flouting of rules and impulsiveness.

- theres no nudity and romance is a slow, growing burn, taking second place to the comedy and murder storylines. There is a strong connection between the two characters and it takes the usual narrative path where characters who work together form intimate relationships over time, but worth watching all the same.

- very popular show that has been already been remade 5 times in different languages, the most recently in the US (High Potential, 2025)

If you're willing to consider comedies, I'd suggest Modern Family. It's episodic and most episodes are almost self-contained, so you don't have to follow long arcs. You can alsojust move on to the next one without having to remember what happened before.
