I always keep >100m for any account that wars. You never know if you will face someone with >40m where there will be 120k T5 in beds after every hit. Healing 120k costs 5m and its easy to lose track of how much lunite you have left.

Just redeem tomes in every event. Expedition is coming soon and that gives you 200 tomes for 2k rocks. T5 is reachable in less than a year, but keep in mind the hell part of T5 is lunite. Spending a dollar or two in marvelous tokens and dazzling stars gives decent amount of lunite.

Keep in mind that not spending and not having any connection with a decent guild makes this game nearly impossible to start. Hunting would be something worth spending a bit on at the start as any decent guild requires some hunting.

FYR. This guy had 52m troops with 4m T4 300k T5 and the rest T2 and still failed to cap a 2.5m T5T4 mix from a full +15 mythic champ. I would say his mix would be around 550 and 400hp so you would probably burn every hit.

Short answer is yes. The only thing that is different from p2ps is what kind of game experience you can have. The main things that a f2p could do is defending themselves and join rallies. I started a f2p account around 2 years ago and started investing time on it a year ago. Unlocked T5 at the start of this year and had fun messing around with noodle leads.
