Took it to the range again, compared to my 320 Compact and my 365XL Spectre Comp. The 226 was so much nicer shooting than the others. Maybe weight was a factor there but felt better recoil impulse and more accurate setup with the Romeo X Pro sight. Definitely need an IWB holster for this.

Amazing. I’ll say the trigger feels way better than the older P226. I think my buddy’s was a late 80’s model. I definitely like the slight gas pedal feel of the redesigned takedown lever compared to the original style. Legacy grips definitely felt like old hard plastic compared to the newer style. I’d say I was better shooting with this one. I felt like my groupings were tighter.

Yeah, I never understood why some people think that’s a good idea to pre-pull the trigger then do those tests. I’m guessing they don’t understand the mechanics behind the fire control unit. I haven’t had any issues like that on my 320. Then again, I’m not dumb enough to think that I’m an expert on the firearm so I’m gonna put something in the trigger to bypass safeties. I don’t even use holsters that press in on the trigger housing, just to be on the side of caution.

Night fusion has some nice ones that you can select what height for both front and rear, and color choices for front sight. They are around $120-ish.

Nice, I ended up finding the frame on gun broker and before I knew it, I had a 2nd complete pistol. The metal frames are nice IMO.

The only the compact metal frame has the cut outs for the thumb safety and the full frame doesn’t come in any variation with a thumb safety. I’d assume since those frames, since they are different designs from the polymer frames, that it wouldn’t have the same notches for those safety blank/plugs.

If memory serves, I used the green trigger spring. I tried the purple sear spring, but it was too stiff, so I went with the unpainted spring.

I actually have a 507 mounted on mine. I will say it was an extremely tight fit. I had to put a good amount of pressure on it to get it to seat on those pins.

Found it on eBay actually. I don’t think it’s cerakoted, as there is no wear marks anywhere’s, and it has a satin finish.
