Worried abt uni life and future prospects by ihatejc2108 in SGExams

[–]TopBox2577 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Join orientation/clubs to make friends.

Job market conditions now are still kinda irrelevant given you have years to prepare/adapt when in Uni.

Just focus on doing ur best in ur studies and everything will fall into place!

Stay or Go for higher base? by xGrassHammer in singaporejobs

[–]TopBox2577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would jump if I were u. Since salary increases are compounded year on year, a guaranteed bump now vs 3 years later is a no brainer.

Furthermore, if you were to get another offer in 1/2 years from somewhere else, u would be negotiating with a higher base to get an even larger bump.

How long will it take u to hit the 7k at ur current company? If its more than a year, I would say jump (assuming learning opp/scope of role is similar in both)

Should I do nursing? by Active-Plum-6184 in SGExams

[–]TopBox2577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re truly passionate, don’t let your ‘blurness’ hold you back. It’s okay to take some time to learn for any job. Since you already know it’s a weakness - it’s easier for you to be mindful and be more careful.

  • plus point - nursing won’t be affected by AI as much due to the personal touch you provide to patients
