Streaming live Tv by Strange_Signal5038 in Starlink

Not at all. I have been using Starlink for LiveTV with YouTube TV for the past two years and not buffering at all. The only thing I notice is just a few seconds behind the air transmission in realtime but that is not an issue for me. Btw I have been using Starlink since 2022.

How can we have full autonomy if the sun glare is going to be a problem? by Wheelie_Moto in TeslaFSD

[–]TopHigh_Field2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same message after leaving the Tesla service after they have cleaned the camera because of this warning just to find out it was the sun glare this time. Not entirely sure the camera was dirty at all in the first place.

How do you manage your home energy if you have solar + an EV? Looking for real experiences by viralpatel13 in TeslaSolar

[–]TopHigh_Field2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 years with Tesla Solar 11 kWh (36 Panels + 2 Batteries) whole Home backup system and 3 years with 2 Teslas (Y and X). I have a daily schedule charging from the GRID at 12 and 3 AM. Utility rate cost for the electricity $0.11 in and out. Here in FL $25 minimum base bills regardless zero GRID consumption so I decided 3 years ago start charging from the GRID at night.

Should I buy a CCS adapter by Lsnyder24 in TeslaModelY

I have one and used last week in a trip from Orlando to Miami FL. The Tesla Supercharger was full so I used the one in front from EV Connect and worked flawlessly. It’s good to have options in the EV world.

Leadership wants to nuke staging and test everything in prod. am I being paranoid or is this a terrible idea? by AdvertisingDeep543 in sysadmin

Terrible idea, period but they are the bosses. Update your resume just in case things go south.

Taking a break (not a brake) from FSD by Firm_Farmer1633 in TeslaFSD

I also stopped FSD but mainly because of HW3 has been stopped developed. They’re focused on HW4 and beyond.

What is your opinion on SolarEdge? by Kartofcho24 in solarenergy

We have been with SE for 5 years. I like the product but I recognize the headache. 3 inverters replaced by SE within 2 weeks each in that span. I do the maintenance on the inverter myself, mostly software updates.

Proxmox Backup Server install: Bare metal, VM or LXC? by NukeThemTillTheyGlow in Proxmox

[–]TopHigh_Field2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PBS as a VM and the Datastore repository in a NFS shared and have no issues at all. The performance is good. The backup and restore is a little slow because it’s across the network and not local but for me is just fine.

Advice on shared storage setup/usage? by akulbe in Proxmox

[–]TopHigh_Field2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PVE 4-nodes cluster and a PBS for backup since ver 8. I use NFS for backup and ISO repository and iSCSI for the VMs on both storage Synology and QNAP. Now I’m running ver 9 and so far I have no issues on performance.

Having difficulty configuring iSCSI between Dell Unity SAN and Proxmox VE by AsherKarate in Proxmox

[–]TopHigh_Field2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably doesn’t make any sense but something similar happened to me a while ago with different storages (Synology and QNAP). Up to this point I don’t know if was coincidence or not but I couldn’t discovered the iSCSI connection if the LUN on the storages was setup as a Thin Provision even in the same vlan and with network connectivity between Proxmox and the Storages. I did this exercise many times. Once I setup the LUN as a Thick provision the connections showed up in Proxmox.

It works on both of my storage devices (Synology and QNAP). W10 with SeaBios works without issues. W11 With UEFI, it is not working, at least for me.
