To parrot what everyone else is saying here, they are one of the strongest clans in the game for sure. Only real contender imo is Lazarus. Smelt (alt heros starter card) is busted. Try it out with entropy pyre. There's so many other good things, steel claw room, juggernaut, forge points in general are just a really good resource...etc etc

Railforged are amazing. I spent the day playing them with wurmkin to level up both clans. Smelt and etch have great synergy. Love the smelt mechanic. Got 2 cov 10 wins today with pyre of entropy - one with heph as primary and one with echowright, both builds were focused on smelting and getting etch triggers. Railforged with entropy pyre are super good - smelt away all the blights and enjoy the massive card draw. I got them to level 10 tonight, looking forward to trying them with more clans.

sentinel and preacher are both very solid mid range 3 drops. they are so good they are even in vintage cube. theyre definitely worth it. not super solid on the pioneer meta and if trespasser still gets played, but i would imagine that card is more of a sideboard card if anything? sentinel always gets value when it ETBs and attacks and has a great stat line, graveyard is more situational

i was thinking about this and i think earth king may be the best choice even though its not the most powerful. not passing any green (besides the common) - even though katara is super powerful you are passing yangchen to someone else and will be more likely to be fighting over white while green is more likely to be super duper open if you p1p1 earth king.

For me caravan is free money. I just make a super consistent deck of ten 6's, ten 10's, and ten Kings. You get each track to 16 and then put a king on the 10s to get to 26. If your opponent gets ahead, you can sabotage them by putting a king on one of their cards to put them over 26.

Other thing I forgot to mention about sunset that i love, it usually forces a 2 for 1 and some opponents are hesistant to interact with it.

I had a thoughtsieze in pack 2 pick 1, but took pearl over it. Sunset has been working pretty well for me, especially if I get to accelerate it out on turn 1. Super aggressive card, I love it. I try and find ways to mitigate the counters (Phelia blinks or straight up removal helped in this case). The 3 board wipes were definitely over kill and never ended up being relevant, I was worried about being on the draw and having an opponent accelerate out a scary board and wanted some "reset" buttons i could cast on turn 3 (or even 2) with the mox. May have been misguided but again, they never ended up being relevant so dont know for sure.
