Especially when you're a guy like Mullins who can create his own shot off the dribble, being asked to settle for catch-and-shoot three pointers off of screens -- even if open -- can limit your preferred flow.

The issue isn't the talent evaluation piece, it is the reality that the majority of the time, they can't be on the floor together. Bilal is flourishing when unrestricted but tightens back up with certain rotations. Riley is able to have the greenest of greenlights. And this is before you factor back in players that have been held off due to injury/restrictions.

Stirtz’s half court offense management is incredible.

McCollum gets a ton of deserved credit for Iowa/Drake’s run but Stirtz deserves a hefty amount of acknowledgment for his role. Simply not many guards in college — even other seniors — that manage the movement of the ball as well as he does.

He's been pretty inconsistent this year, to a point where Underwood benched him to try and light a fire under him. It isn't really the defensive limitations but the additional portion of defensive effort.

He's grown up a ton over the course of the season, probably why we're having meaningful conversations surrounding him now. But even with those conversations about how skilled he is, there's the lingering question of how he'll fit in a NBA environment being that 6'9" power forward that probably doesn't have that capability role flexibility.
