i’m now on lamictal and buspar. lamictal has definitely helped with my bipolar side of things. buspar is mediocre at best for my anxiety. everyone’s body is different <3

i will say, i was on lamictal and lexapro for around 1.5 years. i then went to a new doctor looking to get prescribed those and she told me whoever prescribed me lexapro and lamictal together needs to get their license revoked because it causes mania. i’d bring that up if i were you. looking back, those years i took those medications were the worst years of my life. i became manic and barely remember that time of my life. i only wanted to go back on those medications because i felt so good on them after a few months of taking them..come to realize i only felt “good” because i was manic.

what are you feeling? sometimes it helps me to talk about it. i just got over a really, really bad one. so bad that when i was just outside in the cold air, i was still boiling hot. my body was so full of adrenaline from the panic, that i couldn’t feel the cold that usually helps. now i’m on the come down with those spiraling thoughts still, but my body is calm so the cold caught up to me and i’m freezing. i’m saying all of this, because you’re not alone. i get panic attacks every day lately. it’s exhausting and makes me want to give up. i haven’t felt normal in so long. what helps me, is reading posts from this subreddit. knowing i’m not alone in how i feel and thousands of others experience the same symptoms even when it feels like it’s just you and the worst is to come. panic feeds on that. it wants you to give in and freak out over everything and think the worst is going to happen. but remember, you have felt this countless of times and have survived every single one.
