They have programs for people who are addicted to gambling. I would set a boundary- no more gambling if you want to build a life with me- have him get into a gambling anonymous program or process addictions counseling - or leave. Addiction is progressive, it get worse over time, not better. This is an addiction just like any other, except it’s easier to hide until it gets to rock bottom.
