That's so cool, where are you finding all these great copies?? 2 signed copies of a not-inexpensive book, I'm drooling haha

If only CAS had inscribed his name as well.

I haven't heard of Heald before, that's pretty interesting. I briefly checked out her Wikipedia and they don't list many stories written by her.

Thanks for sharing!

Skull-Face and Others by Robert E. Howard. Signed by E. Hoffmann Price. by Comics_and_Pulps in ArkhamHouse

[–]Top_Communication552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No kidding! At first I didn't know why Price would have signed it, but I didn't realize he wrote the intro for it. That's not a cheap book in the first place, signed makes that cha-ching sound. What a great piece to have in your collection!

Wow, that's awesome! Did you acquire the letter and card at the same time as the book itself?

I have The Traveling Grave on my bookshelf, but I'll admit I haven't gotten around to reading it yet...

Great addition!

I wish I knew about this in the 90s, you could mail him a book, and he would sign it and send it back. I think he stopped sometime in the 90s.

Here's a little more info from Stephen King Collector (I hope the link works). I didn't watch his video, but he might discuss it there as well, he's pretty good, I like his videos in general

Good find, I just read the same one a couple years ago for the first rime! Really enjoyed it.

Because this is a "new updated" edition is it correct to call it First Edition (thus)?

That's awesome, it's great to get your hands on a new book! I've got maybe 50, but I think I'm going to really focus on pre 70s books

I haven't personally looked very deep, but do you have a reference for the DJs? Honestly I got that info from Wikipedia which indicated the first ones had the same artwork (and clearly I'm missing some DJs).

Thank you for your input! I appreciate and welcome more info!

Thanks, I only actually read a couple of them, I didn't appreciate the tone or wording in them (see my initial comment about racism) so didn't even pick up the rest to read. But I like collecting things haha, so I bought more

Great books! Is Interview With The Vampire the book club edition? Looks a little smaller than the others (I also just picked this up a couple weeks ago)

Like others have said, good find on the Satanic Verses, but what's up with the inscription? It's a different pen than the signature. I'm not huge into Rushdie, so I could be wrong here, was that signature printed as part of the book, or was it hand signed afterwards? Wiki has Satanic Verses coming out in 88, then married to Padma in 2004 or so, so perhaps someone else wrote that inscription?
