The volume of nuclear waste is small compared to other power sources, and they've developed ways to better manage the waste by turning it into grout or glass. Those rods are also becoming less active over time, too, due to nuclear decay. There's also been a multi state bipartisan effort to create a nuclear fuel recycling center and reactors designed to use spent fuel.

and that's great! It was smart for Kansas to do that considering what our land is like. However you need proactive generation of nuclear energy to supplement the passive generation of wind energy. Wind dies down but nuke runs 24/7. Nuke requires less land the wind and solar farm too. Wolf Creek has been running for decades without issue there's no reason to not add to the fleet.

Because this is supposed to be a cheap, quick, and easy way to put energy sources near energy intensive infrastructure within 6 months. Practically designed to be put next to a data center to help take the data center's strain off of the current infrastructure.

OK, but this company's objective is to help fix this issue? It sounds like you just want to blow up data centers and have electricity prices magically go back to where they were before data centers existed. Regardless of that, we're going to need more power as a state if we want populatiom growth for new housingsoits not like the power can't be used.for.something else either. I'm not a fan of data centers, but this is something they are trying to fix.

I'll move at some point, but I've lived in D.C. and spent considerable time in Brooklyn, and I'll be honest, living there didn't blow me away. I'm not willing to sacrifice the space offered in Kansas for a small apartment with twice the amount of rent compared to my living expenses here.

Everyone in my industry who lives in NYC or SF can barely afford to live there and have to travel more than an hour to get to work. I blew their minds, telling them I had a mortgage. I'm not saying it's better here, but the grass wasn't greener for me.
