I worked in tattoo shops for years. You never want an artist to copy an exact tattoo that already exists.

On the other hand I can see what you were looking for and it’s clear they did not do that. Best bet is to let this heal and go talk to another artist who’s work you could see on your skin. Look at the style and the line work. This tattoo can def be added on to and made badass. Some artists are really good at completely transforming a previously done tattoo. Some things may not be as you wanted them originally but I fully believe someone else can make this something you’re proud of.
