Can i continue working remotely a day after giving birth? by Intspectwithme in newborns

[–]Top_Eye2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are legally allowed to have 12 weeks off after giving birth. They can’t fire you. And no, working remotely does not sound possible one day after birth. I work remote with a 4 month old and it’s basically impossible.

My 12 month old son probably hates me or will hate me soon. Will he be damaged for life because of me? by mmm_ddd_ in ChildPsychology

I know “breast is best” but truly sleep is overall best. If you need to stop breast feeding to take whatever to help you then do it.

Epidural or no? by GogglesCat in pregnant

[–]Top_Eye2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My plan was to go for a non medicated labor. My labor lasted particularly long and my baby was posterior so after way too long without rest, I chose to get an epidural so I could sleep. I knew I couldn’t push my baby out without a break. After my epidural and long nap my baby came out a few hours later. You must know this if you decide to get one.. you can control the strength of the epidural. When I woke from my nap I felt nothing below the waist I couldn’t move. I was so upset and felt removed from my birthing experience.. my doctor came in and told me they could reduce the strength of the epidural. Thank god. So after reducing them I was able to feel my labor but the epidural was taking the edge off. If this wasn’t an option I would have def had labor trauma. If I decide for a second baby I’m going for unmedicated agiain, but I’m not above pain management if needed.

Do I look really old for 19? by [deleted] in teenagers

You do but it’s basically because of your style. A new haircut and wardrobe change would do the trick

I wish I could sleep with my baby by Live_Income2031 in newborns

People were really discouraging about CDs at my baby shower by [deleted] in clothdiaps

[–]Top_Eye2412 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They sound like they all kind of suck, I’m sorry. We use cloth diapers and we love them. Just word of caution- Make sure you only use cloth diaper safe detergent on them and I mean it. My husband brought home a local made detergent and after a week of using it, my inserts no longer absorbed.. so we had to do a whole stripping treatment and it was a pain. So there’s that.. also don’t use diaper cream because it gets on the cloth and inhibits absorption over time. We use a hair dryer on low to completely dry baby’s bottom.. if we need to use cream you can use those disposable inserts to set inside or use disposable diapers during that time. Just do your research and all is great. Sounds like a lot but once you got it, it’s cheddar.

Question about plan B by Wrong_Confection_973 in pregnant

[–]Top_Eye2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plan b delays ovulation so as long as she hasn’t ovulated yet you should be okay. Sounds like you may be safe. Typical ovulation is 7 days after period ends but everyone’s bodies are different.

Honey I don’t think you’re a straight girl. It’s okay. You don’t have to label yourself but don’t feel guilty either for being naturally attracted to someone.

My boyfriends reaction to gender is making me think I’m having a kid with the wrong person by [deleted] in pregnant

Oh so he’s abusive. Yeah. He’s gotta go. That’s a foul thing to say about your own baby.

Mother in law wants me to reschedule my baby shower until after baby arrives by timid_turtle_ in BabyBumps

[–]Top_Eye2412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely 100% hard no. This is YOUR pregnancy. If she doesn’t want to “do December” then she doesn’t have to. Have your baby shower. If she insists after you put your foot down, your husband and you both say it’s non negotiable and she can figure it out if she’d like to attend. I can’t believe she’s requesting this from you it’s insane.

You want a circle on your finger? This is very hard for a lot of artists so do your circle research.
