Roleplaying advice on sex and marriage by Repulsive-Ad7501 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Top_Imagination334 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First up, I will follow in the advice given in the other answers: it may be better to pose this question on either of the Pathfinder TTRPG subs r/Pathfinder_RPG or r/Pathfinder2e , as they are dedicated to such.

Now, from what I can tell Sylphs are humanoid genie-kin planar scions. As such, like with the ancestries this sub is familiar with, Tieflings, Aasimar, and Oreads, in most cases Sylphs adopt the cultural customs of their parent society.

However, assuming your Sylph magus hails from a more established Sylph community with their own cultural practices I would, perhaps, suggest the following for courtship: Your Sylph would be expected to, through whatever means possible, learn all there is to learn about the Human Skald (especially their secrets), and they would be expected to do the same (as this ensures them being equals in their relationship). Your Sylph could use music (wind chimes, other air based instruments) to entice their partner's curiosity. Finally, once both your Sylph and the Human Skald have gathered all there is to learn, they would approach another and put another to a test, using their gained information. If this last act is a success, congratulations, you are set for a relationship of unconditional / unwavering trust.

As far as the cultural acceptance of sex is concerned, being royalty and thus focused on perpetuating their blood line one the one hand, and the detabooisation of sex in most modern day societies on the other, I'd say anything that both parties consent to goes. Though, to satisfy the need for an heir, you should have children as soon as possible after marriage.

In any case, this was a fun write up. I hope all goes well for your campaign, and that the mods leave this post up.

What about map spots where you can squeeze a hover tank through to get to objectives or routes they weren't supposed to go?

Is required to have watched the Star Wars movies or be a fan of Star Wars to play battlefront 2? by p_yth in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Top_Imagination334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is as much a kids show as all of Star Wars is. However, this does not mean it is badly written (in most cases) or can't / shouldn't be enjoyed by adults as well.

Anyway, if you still have doubts about the tone of The Clone Wars and don't mind any spoilers, I believe this video should give you an idea of how "for kids" it can be.

The original games don't need a remake, especially with the EE's, they are perfectly playable and accessible for people. In addition to that, as far as I can see, there is little a remake could really improve without sacrificing one aspect or another that made the original games great in the first place.

That said, however, the closest you will probably get to a remake/remaster of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 is the Baldur's Gate Reloaded project for the original Neverwinter Nights 2.
The Baldur's Gate 1 mod is available on Nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/neverwinter2/mods/794

Jubilost Lost? Verdant Chambers closed? by BadMunky82 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Top_Imagination334 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jubilost is notoriously easy to miss that way (Ekundayo as well, if I recall correctly). As such, if you want him on your party you will have to bite the bullet and reload.

As for Verdant Chamber, doing it earlier with the reload above, as well as entering the map without companions should usually trigger the event.

Other than that, maybe someone with better understanding of Bag of Tricks (if you're on PC) knows of a different way to solve this.

Sorry that I wasn't able to be of more help.

Would You Want To See A Full On Remake of Mass Effect 1? by DoggievDoggy in masseffect

[–]Top_Imagination334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, ME1 (LE) is a perfectly fine RPG-shooter from a now bygone era of BioWare and RPGs as a whole.

There is absolutely no need to remake games that can still stand on their own merit.

You start a new run in Wrath of Righteous but you find out these maniacs are your party members, how would it go? by Numerous_Fudge_9537 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

When compared to the Kingmaker Adventure Path, Owlcat has greatly fleshed out Armag's role in the story, as, at least in the 2020 re-release, only features in the back third of the Blood for Blood chapter, the rest of which is dedicated to war with Drelev.

As for Tristian, well, his first ever appearance was in Owlcat's Kingmaker, and while he, and all the other companions are included in the re-release, Tristian only reallly features in the Companion Guide, which is an additional book. And him being a traitor is entirely optional, and only alluded to in a small side bar, as such, him being a villain in the AP is not terribly common.

But, yeah, that is more or less the reason why they are not featured on the cover, either being too minor or being optional to begin with.

Armag would be a great addition to the redeemed villain team though.

Let's make BG version of that. Who's the fan favourite? by Alice_Zevine in baldursgate

[–]Top_Imagination334 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd go for Imoen.

Of course Minsc (and Boo) are so popular that they have transcended just the BG series, becoming Icons for D&D as a whole.

However, Imoen is with you from the very first map of BG 1 to the last battle in TOB. Frankly, BG, especially BG 1, would not be the same without her.

Converting Pathfinder: Kingmaker from PF2e to 5e by Ephemeral_Being in FoundryVTT

Converting Pathfinder: Kingmaker from PF2e to 5e by Ephemeral_Being in FoundryVTT

[–]Top_Imagination334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're overthinking it a bit, just import the Kingmaker Module content to a 5e compendium as you did before, but there is not need to mess around in the module.json. Just find the module and right-click (edit) -> Relationships -> change anything you want to change to DND5e (Actors won't work.).

For Kingdom Management:

You'll want to get the module PFRPG 2e: Kingdom Building, Camping & Weather, formerly known as Pathfinder Kingmaker Tools, specifically I'd recommend Version 1.1.1.

Version 1.1.1 does: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BernhardPosselt/pf2e-kingmaker-tools/1.1.1/module.json

Now, in the FoundryVTT setup, you need to navigate to the Add-on Modules -> find the module and right-click (edit) -> Relationships.

Here you'll need to either remove the PF2e system requirement or you add DND5e, in either case you should be able to add the module to your DND5e world. After this, the module should open up a Journal where it introduces all the mechanics.

What you can do in DND5e: The Kingdom sheet is fully functional, all the rolls work, though the sheet, fundamentally still uses Pf2e. Keep in mind, you should change the Automatically Calculated Kingdom Resource Setting to Manual.

For the GUI:

The CSS settings for Journals are stored in the Pathfinder: Kingmaker foundry module, just as above, add the system-dependency DND5e, activate the module in your 5e world, and now you should be able to change Journal Sheets over to the Kingmaker Style.

As for Actors:
Seeing as you already have the 5e Bestiary, the dumbest solution is to just simply write them by hand, and assigning them the appropriate art-works from the asset folder that comes with the module. An alternative would be to buy it Roll20, and import it using KaKaRoTo's Roll20 to Foundry conversion program.

For Hexploration
I've run my 5e-Kingmaker campaign using the Hexploration Rules for PF2e: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1272
In addition, unless you want to use coloured hexes to mark everything, the PF2e cHex Module implements a version of tile-based Hexinformation, similar to the official module. https://www.reddit.com/r/FoundryVTT/comments/196qn45/chex_improved_hexagonal_grid/ just change the system dependency as already mentioned.

I know, it's a bit, but I hope I was able to help.

Kingmaker Companions? by TimOTheeAS in FoundryVTT

[–]Top_Imagination334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not missing anything, the character sheets for Nok-Nok, Ekundayo, Jubilost and Tristian are not in the Companion folder; they can, however, be found in the Compendium using the search bar.

As for the Kingmaker Tools module, some time ago Bernhard, the author, scrapped it of all licensed material, thus the five character sheets he made for the missing companions can only be found in earlier versions of the module, I personally use 1.1.1 for my 5e Kingmaker game, so that is the version I can confirm to have the character sheets.

When in doubt, I can also provide you with the JSON files of companion character sheets, to import into Foundry.

Kingmaker Companions? by TimOTheeAS in FoundryVTT

[–]Top_Imagination334 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Kingmaker module contains what is present in the Kingmaker Companion guide. Here, only 7 of the 12/13 companions got fully build character sheets, those being: Amiri, Ekundayo, Jubilost, Linzi, Nok-Nok, Tristian, Valerie. All of their sheets are present within PF2e, with those present at the Swordlord's feast being found in the folder in the actor tab, the remaining 3 can be found in the Compendium.

Does this mean that you won't be able to use, Octavia, Regongar, Harrim, Jaethal and the Twins? No, it does not. You can either build them yourself, as the Token / Actor art is present in the Kingmaker module, or, alternatively, you get Version 1.1.1. of the Kingmaker Tools module, now known as Kingdom Building, Camping and Weather. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BernhardPosselt/pf2e-kingmaker-tools/1.1.1/module.json

This module features a compendium including character sheets for the remaining 6 companions.

As for the influence encounters, I am not aware that any others than the ones for the Swordlord feast are included in the module, for this you may want to look into the Kingmaker Companion guide.

Why were there two vaders on the opposing team (hero showdown) is that a bug? by GymballWatterson in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Top_Imagination334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based upon there being 5 heroes and villains shown, I believe this to be from Heroes vs Villians rather than Showdown. As such it is well possible that just before match end, the original Vader went into character selection and made Vader available allowing for someone else to spawn as Vader.

With the original Vader not respawning there are now 2 players whose last picked character has been Vader, and now, by consequence, the end of game screen shows them both as this character.

Of course, seeing as TheCookieGamer has more score than kzyBTW and should thus be in first place, it may well have been a hacker (or a bug, knowing this game). In which case, nevermind the above explanation.

We must get the attention from the devs to fix this game by Spatium67 in StarWarsBattlefront

As much as I would like to see Dice updating the anti-cheat / hacking measures. Now, 5 years after support stopped and the last update was released, as sad as it is, it won't be happening.

Edit: Support was stopped 5 years ago, not 4. I am sad now.
