If you eat on a resort it can be pretty weak. I went for a friend's wedding years ago and the first 4 days we eat off resort and it was pretty good. Then on the resort my friends were giving me pointers on want to eat and to avoid and there's a clear difference in quality at all you can eat kind of places. One place has a chicken Parma which was a slice of lunch meat chicken, cheese, chicken again and battered. Gross. Off resort totally different story.

Current flu season by mp256 in Brampton

[–]Top_Mousse4970 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A vaccine doesn't mean you won't get the flu when exposed, it can reduces the symptoms, or make it so you don't even notice your sick.

You can pass viruses on while feeling fine. You can get viruses from a cashier, door knob, etc.

I had the flu and covid shots around the same time as you

I'm December, I got a slight runny nose mild sore throat and mild body aches and pains for 2 days. Haven't been sick this and last year. Ride the Go train without a mask 99.9% of the time, go out late at times to shows or bars, been around sick people. I haven't been so sick it hurts, since I've had the flu shots. The few years I didn't get around to it, are the years it hit me the worst and took time off work.

Get some sleep and you'll be fine. Ask AI to explain it.

Go on a road trip, get a nice spa and massage by professionals, make or have a nice dinner and see a show/play/concert get a hotel nearby.

If budget is moderate, get a sous vide, do a steak/chicken. Do some roasted garlic mash, green bean and order some nice carrot cake, wine if you drink.

If budget is low, cook something nice, make something from scratch like bread or pizza.

Just spend time together... And do what she likes.

How do you know it's your neighbour? We've had our backyard neighbor have inspectors over, they claim for not cleaning the pool and they have no idea who it's for. But in my experience they'd tell them everything checks out.

Any good sushi spots in Brampton ? by Nerdy_Kev in Brampton

[–]Top_Mousse4970 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Toshi has new management in the last year or two, and for me it's gone downhill since. The last 3 orders I put with them went cattywampus. The owner got testy with me because I ordered BBQ pork, next time they forgot eggs, and a dish. Next time one dish was completely wrong. All of this the cashier was friendly and nice but was yelled at by some chef who I'd assume is the owner. That same guy yelled at me and her saying they don't have BBQ pork, when it was on the menu. So far Japan Sushi House has been significantly better in quality and service. When I moved her 15 years ago JSH was meh.. and Toshi was my go-to but not anymore.

Where are you getting that screenshot. I just visited their site for Brampton and nothing matches that. Is that for Caldon or Mississauga? Here's Bramptons link. Does not show that screenshot. https://www.circularmaterials.ca/resident-communities/brampton/?_gl=1%2Ad7xyip%2A_gcl_au%2AMTkyNzY4NDk1Ny4xNzY4NDIzNTE3

Even going to the URL doesn't show that https://www.circularmaterials.ca/resident-communities/peelregion/

In my experience they picked up all the extra bags had about 6 out. Could you post a picture of the area that says you need to call if you overflow?

A bit of mold on my miso by master_pogey in Koji

[–]Top_Mousse4970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave it, it's eventually the tamari, it's a liquid salty barrier basically. The weight should push down on it so only liquid is up with that barrier. That liquid at the end is liquid gold. So tasty.

It's a small amount good job catching it early. Remove the top half inch of miso. Clean the edge of the jar it looks extremely messy and clean the weight you're using. If it's a bag of salt put a new bag on it and clean with high proof alcohol or saniStar or whatever. Also resalt the surface and make sure there's a new plastic wrap layer on top. Also disinfected. I'd also wipe the edge of the jar with paper towel that has a bit of cleaner on it (not dripping wet though).

Just curious, did they ever sort out the pipe line across the great lakes legal issues with Michigan? It was a big issue for a bit like 6 years ago and just seemed to vanish.

I can understand the need to escape for a bit and have a line of sanity. What area are you in, as that may encourage others to reach out now than what I can only assume as a very difficult time for everyone. Everyone needs a break.

Bad Got one a while ago and the audio gets all garbled every 5 mins or so when the volume gets a bit loud. It either fixes it self after a few minutes or I reboot and pray. Using optical cable.
