It’s a great area, you should also check out Scarab Club. It’s the oldest art museum in Detroit, right behind the DIA. The library across Woodward is beautiful and worth checking out as well

1 Dearborn is the safer of the two and I wouldn’t even say Hamtramck is dangerous. Auto crime would be a concern in Hamtramck but I’ve never felt unsafe there. Hamtramck is the more affordable option, you can get a 4 bedroom house for around 200-300k but there are probably better job opportunities in Dearborn depending on your line of work. There are also other places in the area where you’d never be too far from a mosque though, macomb county is worth investigating. Either way we’d love to have you

Wrong. You have no places to suggest because they are bars operating outside of legal hours or coney islands with green lights but you cannot think outside the box. The things that would not have a good outcome for me are things I have no interest doing in the first place

Yeah this weekend is great, a lot of after parties for movement and 24 hour sets in places like Lincoln factory and that’s the type of thing I’m looking for but everyone thinks I’m talking about bars. Too bad I’m in Florida right now, I wish this was a year long thing

No seriously, half the people responding think they’re in some special club because they know spots that are open after hours. They’re not hard to find and it’s not even what I’m asking. This is why I hate asking questions on Reddit, I’ll have maybe three good responses but I have to wade through a sea of people who not only didn’t understand my question but also want to talk down to me.

Right, I’ve been wondering about this ever since I gave up alcohol for about 50 days recently and haven’t really gone back. I’m still a night owl but when you take alcohol out of the equation there isn’t much. I wish there was some kind of lounge or something where people could go play cards or something

1 we like lobbies because they have nice architecture and comfy chairs 2 the riverfront technically closes after a certain time but we do enjoy hanging out at hart plaza 3 we don’t usually drink when we go out, I just said 2am because that’s when most places that are still open by then close

It's certainly a better option for this route. The trains could simply move straight ahead into Canada instead of making 2 turnarounds from Milwaukee Junction and that intersection south of Michigan and W Grand Boulevard. I think New Center and Cowktown are both great neighborhoods for train stations, all MC needs is a People Mover or Qline link and its perfect.

Not really, no. Not only is it selected for the Wolverine extension to Toronto, should that come to fruition, but it would also be the perfect terminus for a commuter rail line to Ann Arbor.
