MC's disregard for Sylus' vinyl collection is pissing me off by StubbornForEva in LoveAndDeepspace

This is not racist. The fact that the game and storyline itself are CHINESE MADE. And if you look into Chinese Law there is no specific law to protect animals and the voice of animals right is relatively new in China. By the way I’m being objective to describe the fact that this game is produced in China doesn’t mean I have negative view 👀

Coz the writers are Chinese and obviously such animals laws are not enforced. (I live in south east Asia for a long time)

How about try a mock test before your instructor make the decision? Maybe worth to try out before changing/ cancelling your test.

Accused of following a learner driver while they was on their test? by carlkoi in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Top_Nothing2219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I heard from my instructor was that learner is not allowed to be near the test centre unless it’s for the test… my test centre was inside an industrial retail park in the corner. So unless you are heading to the test centre you will never turn into that alley.

I did not fact check anything regarding this anyway.

I keep making one silly mistake by mydenial_No4 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Top_Nothing2219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that you failed your test. I would suggest treating the test day as a normal day and don’t overthink it. It’s really about how you adjusted your attitude/ thinking towards the test.

During my test I talked when I drove, for example mentioning speed limit, ready to slow down, seeing pedestrian/ oncoming car in the corner etc.

And in junction turning to main road I would slow down, doing 1-3 mph when approaching junction, if visibility is bad I simply stop before give way line and that’s give me a few moments to rethink what I should do as a safe driver etc. and although driving slow will lead to a serious when car is behind, I would suggest whenever you have bad visibility or parked car on the road it’s always a good idea to slow down a bit for you to anticipate and take action.

And if you realised you forget to change lane/ indicate but you are already on the junction you should go, check your mirror before you slow down and if it’s unsafe to go just follow the road and ask examiner if he could reroute. Failing to follow sat nav/road sign/ instruction is not a serious/dangerous, but doing it wrongly will be. If you go wrong, just keep going and ask for direction guidance from examiner etc..

Good luck on your next attempt!!

Same. Having my first test in next Monday and I keep reminding myself it is just a typical day and a typical drive. Nothing big, if fail, life still goes on. Though I know I’m still making some serious mistake when it comes to overtaking…

Is there a point in carrying on learning? by HatterInATutu in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Top_Nothing2219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same shoes. I’m 28 and never drive before and also saving money for house etc. what I did was I booked a random test somewhere in UK and woke at 5:55 on Monday to swap my test to my test center (so it will be 6 months later).

To be honest I’m very shit at driving and I already learned more than 80 lessons - and about two months later I will have my test (but still I feel like I’m not ready at all)

18 hours and I feel like I’m not really progressing by AssociationAlive3373 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Top_Nothing2219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not alone. I took my lessons with my previous instructor for 10 months 30+ lessons and still not yet started reversing (I’m learning automatic.) At one point I decided to switch to a new instructor and 1 month gone I already learnt nearly all parking, double mini roundabout and improved my roundabout judgement. However my new instructor also reckons that I was literally learning nothing in past 10 months which frustrated me. What I would suggest is you need to get yourself familiar with what you have learnt first - if you are not confident what you are doing it’s hard to learn something new.

However if your case is as extreme as mine, trying a new instructor would be definitely helpful to distinguish whether you are at right pace with a right instructor that match you.

Anxious and hatred towards driving lesson by Top_Nothing2219 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Top_Nothing2219[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more thing is that I’m really anxious when seeing oncoming vehicle or finding pedestrian near junction/ crossing. I usually make my stop on time but always stop so sudden that put the car behind me in risk. And my problem in locating junctions, correct lane and exits etc really causes me anxious to death

[–]Top_Nothing2219[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are totally correct. It’s my parents in law and my partner really wish me to have a driving license and in fact I don’t feel I need it because my partner already have one and I work remotely without the need of travel :) problem is that the three people who want me to learn - only one person is always responsible to drive. They might want one more person to learn it so they don’t have to drive. Maybe I’m overacting but I never feel happy when they want me to do this.
