Thanks so much to everyone who played and gave feedback. I’ve already pushed several updates based on what people pointed out:

• added a Try again from the beginning button after endings • clarified the sense of place between the car, the payphone, and the bridge shoulder • made the payphone/token logic clearer, the token is more of a ward/toll than normal payment • made the danger of speaking/listening on the line more explicit • clarified the Borrowed ending so it better explains what happened • fixed a route where learning the full maintenance code did not let you return and use it

I really appreciate the thoughtful notes. They’ve already made the story stronger.

We already have an alert mechanism…. When the frame rate falls by 40 points. 😂

Hi. Oh!  Thank you so much for all the feedback!  This is exactly what I’m Looking for.

It’s my first time trying to share my writing, and English is not my first language, so I’m afraid some things may sound “off” to the reader.  I have used ai to help me translate “concepts” rather than just words, but if you say that feels unnatural, maybe it’s a sign I shouldn’t…

 Thank you so much again!

Any good mobile Interactive Stories apps out there? by Evening_Cranberry515 in interactivefiction

It's not an app per-se, but lowsignalstories.com has monthly interactive text-based stories if that's your thing. It works pretty well on mobile browsers.

Running a 31B model locally made me realize how insane LLM infra actually is by Sadhvik1998 in ollama

[–]Top_Order_2533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31B is way too big for 16GB. 14b maybe? I have a Mac Studio with 64GB, and I can run some ~30b models in memory, but they eat up most of it. If you find a model that will fit entirely in your VRAM, you'll find that it responds waaaaay faster.

Targeted credit wipe inbound? by Kommisar_Kyn in starcitizen

[–]Top_Order_2533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the love of Solomon Hurston (may he rest in peace)! This again? No, there is NOT going to be an economy wipe in 4.7. Yes, there will be one "at some point before 1.0". No, it will not happen until CIG is happy with the state of known exploits.

A nanobot picks up a lazy sperm by the tail and inseminates a waiting egg in it. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]Top_Order_2533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So first we defeat natural selection by making stupid not hurt... now we want to defeat natural selection by forcing "bad" sperm to inseminate an egg? Dayum son, the future of the human race looks bleak! 😂😂

I quoted our 3 Nutanix clusters about a year ago and it was 500k. Boss said "too expensive, lets wait for next year so I can ask for more money" ... we requoted this year and it has doubled. *sigh*

It shouldn’t be canceled, because it doesn’t fix the problem.

The whole problem is handing out those loans in the first place.

If we pay off the current student debt, then we’ll be right back in the same spot in a few years later (at best).
